Event occurred on 9/21/2013. I recommend as a fellow consumer that you utilize a different UPS Store location. I was charged over $5.50 for a small 12 x 12 shipping box. Then I was told by the employees that  I cannot pack my box there. I had to pack it in my car!

I brought the box back in and asked the male employee if it was ok for me to tape it shut in the store. He told me do do it quickly. I bought my tape from them and proceeded to tape the box shut and was then heavily confronted for doing so by the female employee there. I was told by her that I cannot tape my box in the store.

I then had to take the box to the UPS Store in St Louis Park to avoid further customer abuse. The UPS Store in St Louis Park informed me that the same box there is $3.02 and that I was way overcharged.

The UPS Store located at 2751 hennepin Ave. S. in the Minneapolis Uptown area is ripping customers off heavily on their material pricing for boxes and their customer service is simply abusive. Very poor attitudes there. The establishment is owned by Judy Longbottom and Steve Grodahl.

Had I of gone to my regular UPS Store location in the Miracle Mile Shopping Center on Excelsior Blvd in St Louis Park, they would have never treated me so abusively as a customer. Their servive is A+.

The Uptown location will never see another penny of my revenue, ever and I encourage the viewers to avoid this location as you deserve to be treated like a valued customer.

On further reading.  It seems like this complaint is most likely slandar rather than authentic.  Interesting how John is from St. Louis Park and is complaining about the Uptown store, encouraging readers to go to the St. Louis Park store instead. I'm actually surprised that the Ripoff Report allowed this report to be submitted.

We  use this UPS store on almost a daily basis and have never had any issue.  I actually look forward to going in since the staff are attentive and have a generally great attitude.  My guess is that the reason you were treated this way is that you were making a mess, abusing their supplies or being abusive to them. I'm not a friend of any of them, but your experience is so not typical and I consider them providing a good service to our neighborhood, particularly now we do not have a local post office.
