Being a frequent flyer with US Airways (merged with America West), I signed up to receive promotional offers through email.

Then I started getting swamped with dozens of emails every day until I finally got fed up with it and clicked on their unsubscribe link in each email.

Every time, in every email, regardless of what time of day or whatever day of the week it was, I ALWAYS got an error message stating they had problems with my request and to call a 1 800 number.

Still haven't been able to get my email off of their list. No discount is worth this.

How is it my fault?

AUTHOR: Tom - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, March 15, 2007

How is it my fault when I use the link THEY provide in the emails to unsubscribe and it always results in an error?

As for calling, I am not going to spend hours in an automated phone menu only to get an employee (such as you apparently are) that I will have to explain everything all over again.

Your response is a typically employee/management response. The company needs to fix the bad unsubscribe link in their emails.

I have a question.

Did you call the 1-800 number so that an actual person could remove you?

They do give you the number for a reason. If you keep just trying to get off by using the internet then that's your fault.
