I wish there was a banking institution that did not try and rob their customers like current day gangsters. The banking institutions today are just current day "banksters", with no more ethics or morals that criminals in the mafia possess. They can go in and take money out of your account anytime they please, and have the nerve to tell you that they can do what they want. 

A US BANK representative called and spoke with my husband about a past due bill for a secured credit card on our account. Money has been tight, and we've had to help members of our family that were destitute and were homeless. By trying to help them, it has put a financial strain on us for a few months, and my husband explained to the representative that we already had money we had just set aside to make payment on our credit card, and my husband explained that we would make payment outside of our account, but the representative spoke to my husband so rudely, and treated him like he was a criminal. Not only did the representative just take almost $400 right out of our account even though my husband told him specifically not to, but it threw our accounts into negative, and there are bills that still have not even cleared the account that were scheduled to be paid, along with adding a whole slew of overdraft fees to the account. 

When I contacted the bank and asked if they could reverse the payment and allow us to pay the way we had planned to originally, we were told that they have the right to do what they want, and that we could not dispute the charge, even though we did not authorize the payment out of our account. And to add insult to injury, they put the account on an autopay to pay themselves on the 1st day of the month. (Regardless of what bills we need to pay to survive). 

US BANK, and many other banking institutions are just modern day bullies that steal people's money, and treat their customers horribly. PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY ARE SUFFERING FINANCIALLY, and a large part of the issue is that you can never get ahead or current on anything, because of unethical and unlawful banking practices that our government allows. 

It's funny how when the banks needed to be bailed out, we ALL had to help them out of their bind, but when the American public needs assistance from their banking institution they could care less. 

SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE ABOUT THE GREEDY AND SELFISH BANKS THAT FEED ON THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE SHARKS ON A SCHOOL OF FISH.  

DO NOT BANK WITH US BANK - THEY ARE LIARS AND THIEVES!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you got this secured card, did it say you could skip payments if money got tight?  Did it have a "homeless relative" clause that said you only had to pay if you didn't have a homeless relative.  Of course not, it stated that you were required to make the minimum payment due on the account.  If you didn't YOU gave them the right to start alternate collection efforts.  This includes the "right of offset" which says they can take money from one account to cover another.  Now, the kicker in this is that YOU agreed to each one of those terms.  So who is the liar?  The company enforcing the contract, or the borrower who isn't paying their bill?

But let's go a bit deeper here shall we.

- So what's the problem if they took the payment from the US Bank account?  All you would need to do is transfer the money from the account you had set aside to the account they took the payment from and magically everything gets paid.  Well that is if you were telling the truth and this other money actually existed.  As it is also very possible that you were just saying that to try and get them off of your back..sort of a modern day "the check is in the mail", where you had no intention of paying them.

US BANK, and many other banking institutions are just modern day bullies that steal people's money, and treat their customers horribly.

- BUZZ..wrong answer, thank's for playing.   You see the only reason you are having to make a payment on the credit card bill is because YOU borrowed THEIR money.    In effect, if you want to get technical.  When you take money that is not  yours and fail to live up to the agreement to pay it back..the one in fact who is stealing is YOU.  Had you not borrowed their money, they wouldn't be taking the money out of your account.

- What's unlawful? 

They are allowing you to borrow money under specific terms.  If you truly want to get ahead then don't borrow the money in the first place.  They don't force you to use the credit card, I don't see bankers behind people at check out counters holding a gun to peoples head to use the card.  Last time I checked the use of a credit card is 100% optional.  

 

Based on your entire report it is very obvious as to why you are stuck with a Secured Card...

 Do YOU perhaps have difficulty READING?? In the CONTRACT that YOU SIGNED you agreed to these terms and conditions. YOU cannot NOW turn around and blast THEM for what YOU agreed to!! Sorry to hear your account was overdrafted but THAT IS NOT THIER FAULT!!!! Perhaps YOU should READ BETTER!!!! YOUR personal situation has ZERO bearing on YOUR ability to pay what YOU owe. The ONLY entity that has ripped YOU off IS YOU!!! YOU agreed to the terms and conditions of that secured credit card.

 

And NOT to put too fine of a point on this but WHY do YOU feel the need for petty vengence?? In the space of your post you call them greedy, unethical, rude, selfish,liars, and thieves. Dont YOU realize that YOU HAVE DEFAMED THEM!!! Meaning that IF they chose to they could take YOU to court for what YOU have posted!! YOU are confused Im sure as to WHAT your first amendment rights are. YOU do NOT have the right to present YOUR OPINION as FACT on a media outlet like the web!!By doing so all YOU have done is show YOUR true colors. YOU are a rude,selfentitled,dillhole!!! YOU call THEM greedy but ALL they want is what is LEGALLY owed to them. Obviously YOU have a problem paying your bills on time as YOU have no problem telling the whole world how generous YOU are in one breath and BASHING them in the next. TYPICAL FEMALE!!!! YOU have NOT been ripped off and YOU should be ashamed of yourself!! YOUR PARENTS raised YOU better then this!! AND YOU KNOW IT!!! YOUR petty vengence WILL cost YOU at some point and its going to be a WHOLE LOT more then the $400 that YOU owed. Look it up!!Its NOT like YOU can afford a prolonged legal battle where THEY CAN!!! YOU talk about "catching up" yet all YOU have done is dig yourself a hole YOU may NEVER get out of and all because YOU cant be bothered to READ or use ANYTHING like common sense!!!
