I found this place after my friend said that they had very reasonable rates. The rooms needed a really good scrubbing, ice machine was not always available, no heat except the space heater. The space heater was given to us by a manager, worker, whom could not recall which one a long one or a ceramic type, and insisted that we had taken it.

Children lived there and so did the accountant whom claimed that we were going to be charged more money for renting our room, monthly would go to 900. And continually told us garbage about the place. The husband continually went into the rooms and once, while the manager was away our door was opened by a man wom had master keys. He was said to carry a gun at night, I had my car gone through, a credit card was removed from it. I lost a few collector items, and my bank had to close my account since somebody tried to access it.(and I think it was a girlfriend that worked there) She attacked my car kicking it twice.

I asked for assistance from an agency, not that I was trying to cheat by not paying for any room rent, since I had to return out of town, due to a funeral.

In Mattoon, I finallycalled the city hall, I am on ssdi, and nobody in this town would rent to me, except the motel U.S. Grant. I hadapackage sent there and I never got it.
