The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Jeremy Marcus during an onsite inspection held by a third party verification company with no biases towards US Legal Aid.

US Legal Aid is the validation and litigation model that is utilized as the marketing platform for Helping America Group. This process was created by Jeremy Marcus to ensure that he had control and understanding with his client base. Mr. Marcus further explained the growth of this aspect of his company, "when I first got started I didn’t have any money. I had absolutely nothing, so I hired a third party marketing company as marketing for me. One thing that was a downside for a third-party marketing company, you have less control. They’re incentivized to only make money and only make business, as much business as you can. And my incentive was to make sure I have good, clean business and operate and grow. So we both had the incentive to grow, just one doesn’t care about the quality as much as the other. So I veered away from that model as time went on, and I started doing my own marketing."



CUSTOMER CARE & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION – US LEGAL AID

During the on-site interview, Mr. Marcus was asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. Mr. Marcus expressed that their initial business model was not up to their current standards. He further stated, "that business model, we didn’t guarantee at all. We just did the advocacy, we had the litigation, and in the event that we failed, they would have to pay- and we explained that there was a risk associated with that. In those events that they fail… there have been situations where people are… very unhappy, understandably. It was a risk that went into it… so those situations, they happen. We’ve dealt with them very well because it was something we were up front about, that they’re not going to win everything. There’s a certain number of cases that they’re going to fail." In order to remedy this, "I evolved the business model. After learning the underwriting and understanding how we work, how well we are at what we do, I started taking on certain kinds of debts and guaranteeing certain ones so that way they’re not in that position at all."

When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Marcus expressed that the comments are personal attacks against him that were created by a disgruntled employee. In order to further assure future and current clients Mr. Marcus stated the following, "we have attorneys that have been doing this for their whole practice. We have 50, 60 attorneys that we work with- this is their sole practice… They’re licensed with the Florida BAR and whatnot. We have a non-profit 501 C3 that we work with for education that’s been in business for over ten years. I personally have dedicated my entire career towards this, and my family had a credit counseling agency growing up, so I understand this inside and out. I went to school for finance and economics. I’ve spent my whole life doing this."

When your contacted by us legal aid they come off as "law firm" when actually nothing but a call center. They also tell consumners they do pay day loan settlements when all their funds go to the attorney for a retainer fee. They also claim that a arbitrator will mbe assigned to your case when there is no arbitrator but some girl who answers the phone . This company does not even have a registered business license to work in Tamarac and is run by unscruplus people who lie to get your business. If your looking to get help with payday loans go to a "real lawyer" where you can go to their office. Stay awawy from this company
