U.S. Office & Industrial Supply Another attempted Rip-Off! Reseda California

Our shipping and Receiving Manager received a phone call from someone claiming to know our packing tape buying history. He swears they told him they were our current packing supply company. They were very convincing. They offered him a 'special deal' on 2 cases of tape. $1.19 a roll. This is less than we currently pay for 110 yd rolls, so a verbal 'ok' was expressed. A week or so later 4 cases show up on Fed-Ex. I told the receiving guy to open one of the boxes so we could take a look at what we got. Surprise surprise ! HALF rolls ! Upon receiving the invoice we discovered they were actually charging us $4.10 a roll !!!!! and another $96+ for shipping !!!! Our Office Manager was all over it and called them. They yelled at her but she finally got them to issue an RMA number. We also pressed them for either their shipping account numbers or a call tag for UPS. This is currently developing, but supposedly a UPS call tag has been issued. Time will tell i guess .................
My personal advise would be to steer clear of this company. It's tactics seem to be less than legit in my opinion.
