I am writing this now totally devastated. I trusted this company.
I answered an employment ad seeking people looking to work from home doing premium insurance audits. I received an email from Lori Edgar asking me to take pay $24.99 for a "premium audit"course that would enable to work from home for them. I accepted. The course took about 40-50 hours to complete. After completion, I was asked to sign the independent contractors contract. I signed it. They then asked me to go to the IRS website and get an EIN number. I signed up with the IRS as a sole prop. I sent them the EIN number. They then asked for my personal checking account number so that they could pay me by direct deposit. I provided the information.
When you sign up with them, they tell you that they dont pay for gas, and they pay you like a month later. I agreed to that. However,
800 miles of driving and a month later....I get a paper check that cannot be cashed. They used me and maniuplated me to work for free, on my gas, and my time. This company intentionally sent me a check they knew could not be cashed. And they show no remorse. As an auditor, you may get 32 bucks, maybe 64. But they get like 200-300 dollars for those things. They are so greedy, that they even steal the pennies they offer. Now I have kids that need school clothes and shoes, and mom has no way to pay for it because they stole it! I am beyond pissed.
US-REPORTS is the epitome of evil. I hope they get what they deserve.

Aftern many, many phone calls to the main office, and several to Mr. Steve Hintz's home, they finally paid me. I am so grateful. It's sad the way they treat their contractors. There is no such thing as free labor. This was not a $10,000 dollar contract, in fact what was owed was less than $1,000. I think that goes to show the company's financial stability. I don't see US-Reports being in business too much longer.
What management at US-Reports needs to do is what every other company does who looks for free labor: hire college interns. College students are hungry for experience; and there are many who would be willing to work for free, on thier gas in exchange for resume experience.
They may still have a high turnover rate, but at least they won't look like theives....just moochers.
