I signed a 1yr lease contract on a 07' freightliner Cent. class from US XPRESS ENTERPRISE. In orientation not much was explained except sign here and this or that person name mentioned on the contract which anyone who work for or still do know it is hard to get someone to answer the phone at numbers they give us even to get them to call you back if a message is left. Anyways, 4 month left in contract they started practically tring to force me to do local runs which, I couldn't benefit in doing so and refused to do so cause truck payments and etc. wouldn't been able to make enough money to pay my bills or take care of my family. Then the amount miles I need to get to make a living decreased from 3000mls to about 1100mls and their answer for sudden decrease in miles per week was because freight was either slow or I was in a bad area. My truck broke down a couple of times due to the same electrical problem I had each time and it was under warrenty and fixed by the dealer each time, but USX was taking the cost of repairs out of maintainance accout in which the dealer didn't charge me cause it was covered under warrenty work.

Another thing was that they charged me for new tires price, but put recaps on the truck and charged for breakdown tractor tire blowout roadside serv. put a new tire on the truck and USX shop changed it out with a recap once again I was charged for a new tire which is a big price difference between a recap and new tire. The month in my contract the truck had to be towed into the dealer for the same electrical problem and was in the shop for the remainder of my contract in fact 1day pass the contract and I turned it in at the Lexington, NC terminal where it was fully inspected and turned into there mechanics. I received the paperwork signed off on showing that the truck and all equipement was turned in excellent condition.

Completing the leasing contract and turned in all equipement and paperwork to a approved and USX terminal in 45 days I was to receive a $2400 bonus, ins. premium deposit and the money I had left in my maintainance account. instead I received a letter from USX 1 month later saying, I now owe them $441 and they deducted other money owed for truck expenses during the last 2 weeks the truck was in the shop and because I turned the truck in without consulting that I was not going to sign another year contract with them. I tried calling there leasing managers in NE and sent a letter out them, but like always you cannot get anyone to answer there phone or respond back or when you do get to speak with some they place you on hold for 45 min. or longer even hang-up on you.
