I mis-dialed an 866 number to my credit card company (800 with same last 7 numbers) and got an automated response to apply for a in home personal medic alert. Bypassed that one to get USA Benitfits offer from John of a $100 voucher to be used at WalMart, Target, etc., for only $1.95 for a free 15 day trial. I told him if it sounded too good to be true it probably was. He said not to worry it was a legitimate offer. For a total charge of $3.90 I would get the $100 voucer and program info mailed to me (or emailed - I declined email) and I was offered USA Benefits dining where I would get 50% off in major restaurants for only $39.95 a month. Also for $29.95 a month I would be signed upf for Preferred Reader program with a choice of magazines. He was very pursuasvie, so I agreed and gave my credit card #. I asked how I would be directed back to my credit card company and he gave me an 800 number which turned out to be 800 information. He did give me two numbers where I could cancel either service within the 15 days and still would get the $100 voucher. One was 888-235-9042 USA Benefits. The other was 888-645-2558 for the Reader program. 

I didn't like getting an 800 information number and not the number for my credit dard. Big Red Flag! I immediatly called my credit card company and cancelled the card. I then researched USA Benefits and found all these reported scams. I called back and went through the automated sequence and got a new agent, Jason, whom I asked for the mailing address of the company. USA Benefits, 4876 Princess Anne Rd, Ste 118, PO Box 315, Virginia Beach VA 23462.

I guess if it sounds too good to be true, it really is too good to be true. Shame on them.
