When I first encountered the advertisement on the Internet I thought it was a great idea. I then applied for the card, to the tune of $150.00 and after I read the fine print I decided to cancel my application. I sent numerous Emails and To Whom It May Concern under no circumstances withdraw the $150.00 from my checking account. I sent emails for approx 3 days with no response.

I assumed they were delivered to the correct person and that the order was cancelled. Well, a week later checks started bouncing and I couldn't figure it out. When I did a check of my account USA had pulled the $150.00 out of my account.(Stupid Me) I then called USA Shopping Club and explained my dilemma and that I wanted to cancel my account, upon hearing this the sales person then offer a $50.00 rebate, I said no then the offer went up to$100.00. I figured at this point this would cover the $80.00 in bounced check fees and I could get the $150.00 Membership Fee Refund Voucher.

After placing my order for $150.00 worth of products, I then paid the Total amount of $180.00 after shipping costs and figured it was a done deal. A month later I received a bill from USA for the items and upon calling USA it was explained to me that they never received the voucher, apparently it got lost in the mail and I was never informed that USA had not received said voucher....I then called USA and spoke with a collections manager and was told that I was responsible for the payment of approx $150.00 worth of items.

Well when all was said and done, I will not be paying the $150.00 because I fell USA should make good on the $150.00 Voucher that is presented, otherwise I never would have ordered the products in the first place. I went back and forth for 10 minutes with this collection person and I could see that they had their minds made up and that I needed to start making payments on this account. I then told the account manager my experiences with USA so far had been anything less than satisfactory, and that I thought they used deceptive business practices and really did not care about what I had to say. I told the rep I wanted the account closed and I will be seeking any legal support regarding my experience with this company. Any reputable company would not deal with customers in this fashion. Thank goodness for your website where the lowly layperson has a voice.
