Usave Car Rental, for me, has been nothing but a disaster. My opinion, based on my experiences with Usave and Tom McDonnell, a giant cluster Frig!
I can say, based on my experiences with the Usave Franchise and Tom McDonnell, at this date, investing in this franchise in the Airport car rental market has been a money losing disaster.
This Usave Franchise is lacking, in my opinion, if you compared it to any other car rental franchise that I have encountered.
Te lack of regard Usave displays for mistakes made by this franchise is horrible. My opinion, this franchise has cost me 100's of thousands of dollars. This all, in my opinion for mismanagement.
Usave's reservation system, usave.com, provides very little when it comes to reservations. This I believe is because Usave's management does not properly market their brand. The scary thing, in my opinion is Usave collects marketing dollars from their licensee's and in my opinion, based on information suppiled by USAVE MANAGEMENT, very little of that marketing money seems to spent properly advertising the brand and the booking, reservation site.
The CEO, Tom McDonnell, refuses to speak with licensee's, in my opinion, this man hides from some licensee's.
I regret having anything to do with this franchise and can say for us, Usave has been a money losing disaster.
Usave Car Rental franchisor charges their licensee's for reservations that have been cancelled, even if they were cancelled months prior to the reservation date. This, in my opinion, is like picking up a box of condoms off a shelf in a convenience stoe to look at the product and view the price and then decide it was too expensive, you put it back on the shelf but the store still demands money from you, even if you left the product in the store. That to me is outrageous, egregious and just plain ridiculous.
So for us, I reiterate, disaster. Buyer Beware.
