UCB United Credit Bureau Harrassment unprofessional unethical New York New York

My husband received a message on the answering machine from USB regarding a collections. He called back and the first operated confirmed all his information and he explained to her that we've tried to set up a payment plan and have been told that it is unacceptable-not enough. He explained that he has child support already garnished from his wages which puts him at the self support limit and then explained that we would make regular LOWER payments. We have been honestly trying to work with the collection agencies but they keep telling him that the amount is not acceptable that it must be more. A floor supervisor put onto the phone and very unprofessionally, and very nasty woman proceeded to say that his job was in jeopardy and he could basically lose his job if he didn't pay the debt. She threatened to send paperwork to his employer and get him fired! He AGAIN stressed that we want to make payments, but we are told that they are not acceptable. My husband then told the supervisor that his paycheck can not be garnished b/c of child support and the supervisor stated "IT WAS NOT MY PROBLEM YOU HAVE A KID!" What the hell is that? My husband then stated that we had already spoken to our attorney and additional monies can not be garnished from his wages. The supervisor continued to threaten him to obtain his lawyer, and that he did not know the law. This company needs to be reported to BBB or sued for harrassment! This is absolutely ridiculous that a collection agency will not work with you regarding payments. WE are honestly trying to repay a debt that was incurred during his divorce and we are constantly be told that the payment is not acceptable and not enough! What is an honest worker suppose to do?
