Beware this company. Owner lies and withholds funds even when work is subpar, undelivered or overcharged. Prepayments are a red flag and despite my better judgement I tried to believe the promises. Low and behold: this company is bogus. Save yourself the time and frustration. If the company wants money upfront, move on to one that is contractually obligated to fulfill the work order under specific agreements and terms. If like this company, they just want money and no contract; it's a scam. There is no consequence for the failure to perform any work or service. And, you'll discover, there is also no way for you to dispute the outrageous monies they try to add on to your account due balance. That's why ethical, trustworthy companies provide a budget and timeline. This is a good concept but poor execution. Hold companies like this accountable publicly. Doing so forces the change to good practices. Or, alternatively, their demise will make room for good businesses and business owners who are trustworthy. Caveat Emptor!

Elena, I would gladly remove my response to your original report.

Hello again Elena, It is unfortunate to have to communicate here as I have always answered your emails and calls in the past. In 4.5 years of business I have never been requested a refund, of course it is you, you are the only one. Looking back, I wish I had just given you the refund even though unjustified as you have made this much larger than it is.

I don't know who or what this owner is replying about in this rebuttal. I've notified Ripoff Report that these are unrelated topics and issues. Hopefully, the business or Ripoff Report will remove the unrelated details posted. This company clearly has so many unsatisfactory dealings that they lash out without verifying or knowing who or what they are referring to or with who they may have a problem. And for the record: PayPal buyer protection does not cover digital products or services. It's not a win! Some silly people don't know their own silly business or why something happens even when it may not be justified. I know this because as a PayPal user I inquired before writing this. Wanted to show how ridiculous the claims were aside from getting the people wrong. The whole statement is wrong and unfounded. This and the preceding report were posted anonymously for a reason. The business should verify before lashing out at poor people they clearly also left disgruntled and now disparaged. If I were this person, I'd sue them for libel.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

We delivered, and won TWO Paypal Cases from Elena Zevallos (Complainant)

AUTHOR: J Hunter - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, December 16, 2016

Hello,

I'm sorry to greet you on such circumstances but I am the Founder & CEO of VA Staffer. I have over 100 clients that we have served over the past few years. You can see our reviews online for the world to see by so many happy clients.

Please allow me to shine some light on this unfortunate situation in which led to the unfortunate events:

  1. Elena Zevallos contacted us to do a "one-off" job which involved creating two landing pages from a graphic design that she sent over to my more-than capable team.
  2. She requested that both of these pages be done in 4 hours.
  3. After reviewing with the team, we discussed it would take around 8 hours per page to do, since it needs to be done in both a desktop and mobile optimized custom CSS as she did not want to use wordpress (which would have saved her and us a lot of time by the way.)
  4. She agreed to pay for the project and I even gave her the ability to only pay for half of the project up front.
  5. She had provided the project to us on a Monday and had requested it be done same day, and again I had to explain to her that it was not possible for our coder to complete the pages in a day, and that I'd like to give him until Wednesday to complete - which she agreed.
  6. On Wednesday we delivered the initial product, which still had a few tweaks that needed to be done. I told her that we could have it buttoned up and completed by Friday and she also agreed.
  7. We completed the task, and had it to her long before she woke up on Friday morning a day ahead.
  8. She then told me that her client didn't accept the product because it was not done on Wednesday (even though, we specifically agreed to it being delivered with revisions on Friday - and I delivered Thursday night to make sure she was prepared for her client meeting).
  9. I told her that I was sorry that her client didn't accept it, although, I do think it's a bit fishy after we delivered it to her completely done, and so did PayPal.
  10. Our team provided paypal evidence that the project was completed and they also saw the communication showing that we delivered it BEFORE the expected timeline we BOTH set.
  11. Now, I did feel bad about her situation and that her client expectations were not managed accurately, and as a result I decided NOT to charge her for the remainder that she owed us ($270 dollars in the red between the initial consulting fee and the remaining balance since I only made her pay 1/2 up front).
  12. What caught me off gaurd is that even though she didn't pay in full, she wanted a full refund. After the work was already completed as well.
  13. When I gave her the partial refund (for the $270 that she didn't pay yet), she filed a complaint with PayPal, in which I showed them the evidence and they closed the case in our favor.
  14. Elena Zevallos then opened a second case and lost that again.
  15. Lastly, I'm assuming that this was her final action after the frustration it caused by demanding a full refund on services that we not only completed, but completed 24 hours prior to the due date as agreed and confirmed by PayPal.

Feel free to check out the end result on our development server: eva.noreviews.com/2/ It's quality work! (this was her design that we completed)

I hope this doesn't come off as harsh rebuttle, because I actually thing Eva (what she goes by) is a really wonderful person, and I hand-select my staff AND my clients to work with. I already gave her a partial refund and have offered to assist her in managing client expectations in the future as I'm a 10 year veteran Project Manager myself, but I never got a response - instead I got a paypal case (that she lost) and a rip-off report.

Eva, if you do read this, just reply to my email or give me a call, you have the number, I'd love to help you resolve this in a more effective medium.

Thank you all for taking the time to hear my rubuttle.

God Bless,

J Hunter
