Val and Edi took my car after they told me they had me financed, then instead of telling me that the financing was not approved after about 14 days they decided to tell me that they were going to put a GPS in my car and they would be needing my car for 3 hours and after I called them to return my car they said the financing was not approved and they were taking my car back. I told them to give me my deposit back and they said not yet. The way they went about it was fraudulent.  Around the time he told me it'd be done, I gave them a few calls and I got no answer. I asked my mom to call and finally an answer!
Val told my mom that the finance company just faxed them to hold the car from me. After that notice i called the finance company to confirm and they didn't have me in their system and told to get a hold of my dealer because they have no records of mine. I felt i was being taken advantage of so i went to the dealer and asked for my money back and they told me my $1,500 Down payment was with the finance company. I also asked to get to my car to get the rest of my stuff out of it and they started speaking in their own language asking each other where the car was and they said the finance company had it, they must of not heard me tell them that the finance company has NO information of mine!
This all happened on Aug 22, 2012.. today is Aug 28,2012 they still haven't given me any information about giving me my money back. The Only time i received by them was today and it was not about my money. below i will type EXACTLY what they mailed me. They are lairs and big cheat. I still don't have my deposit, the car should have never left the lot if they didn't have any financing secured. If they took my car back they should have given me my deposit back. I filed a small claims lawsuit for $9,000 the maximum allowed.

The letter I received on August 28th dated August 23 (laughable) Stated:
You have been rejected to finance the 1998 Volvo C70 convertible from greater access finance Co. due to insufficient documentation. Upon receiving this letter you have ten days from (August 23, 2012 until September 2, 2012) to pay off the full balance of the car to its owners.

VAL MOTORS,

Guys I was never even able to get a chance make my first payment on the car... How am i being forced to pay for a car that i DON'T have?! I just want my down payment back.

I called the cops they gave me some advice but they also said it was civil matter, so i will be taking them to court. These people are not running an honest business.  save your time STAY AWAY!

Bogus Report/Great Place to Buy Cars!

AUTHOR: Alice Peterson - ()

POSTED: Saturday, August 31, 2013

I was recommended to come to Val Motors by my friends who bought a car from Val. They said it was an easy and stress-free transaction. And I agree! It was very easy and Val was a great delight.

I do have to say, I read this report before I went to see Val, and even though my friends said that Val was very reliable and easy to do business with, I still had my doubts. Of course they were proven wrong, but after I bought the perfect car for me (2005 Audi A4), I did ask him about this situation.

After hearing his side and explanation, I realize that this post is extremely unfair to him. It’s not my place to explain the whole situation, but basically the finance company didn’t finance her, and Val had to repossess the car.

Val Motors is a great and trustworthy place to buy a car. There is an extensive collection of cars with great prices and he was extremely honest with everything, and I felt comfortable with his advice. I feel terrible that there is a negative post about Val Motors. There shouldn’t be one.

CAUTION!

Good first steps!

Be careful about the amount you sue for.

The amount must be provable and not for damages that have not got receipts to prove them. No punitive damages, heart ache or non physical damage.

You can loose the whole thing making unsubstantiated claims.

By the way this is whats called a spot delivery and they are treating you poorly because they miss-handled this badly by having you in the car for more than a couple days.

If they had called you back in, given you your deposit you would have been angry, but have no grounds to sue.
