We are a small online retail company in Los Angeles. On October 13, 2010 Valerie Hoffman of Winter Harbor Maine, placed what for us is a substantial order which we shipped and which we confirmed ship received. Today, December 10, 2010, we received a notice of charge back from the credit card company for the full amount of Valeries "purchase", along with a statement from a party in Florida who complained that they're card had been used fraudulently. When I Googled her name, Valerie Hoffman of the same Winter Harbor address seems to figure prominently in a number of scams that involve defrauding small businesses. Great. Business is tough out there and this kind of crap hurts. I'd be happy to hear she was behind bars.

What a silly comment that is HER credit card not some stolen one-duh-it has HER name on it, she lives in Florida and the items were refused as you send things not requested...Seller sent unordered goods with outrageous charges! I am one of her closest friends and a client. I am sure you will be sued for defamation next palwhen I forward this to her. Shame on you posting such garbage without thinking and just like the gal who just lost 50,ooo for doing that now you will see what posting lies and slander is about-NOT GOOD

As far as the other matter he commented on...I am happy to report that the author of this article Ms P has been sued and we are extremely pleased with the Judges intelligent decision siding with the Hoffmans . I just read the court report they sent me.
Let this be a WARNING to anyone who writes ANYTHING about this fine couple!
YOU WILL BE SUED and it WILL COST YOU DEARLY.
The party who wrote all these awful comments was just cited today for a $50,000 judgement Mr Hoffman filed and won against her-the judge was clearly disgusted by this baseless garbage he read about this fine couple and congratulated Ms Hoffman for her 21 fine years as one of the nation's most successful entrepreneurs and awarded Mr Hoffman with a HUGE judgement!
We all their friends and fans, could not be happier. God Bless-
