Van Ru Credit Corp Disputed credit card, card company wrote it off over four years ago. Am being harrassed by this company to pay them Skokie Illinois

Over four years ago I disputed a credit card debt with Bank One. Ultimately they wrote the debt off. About six weeks or so ago, I started to receive calls from Van Ru Company demanding that I pay the debt in full. Next they called all nice and wanted to "Help" me clear this debt, that they were willing to make settlement by cutting it in half. Surely, I had good faith down payment or could borrow, etc.


I told them I was 70 years old and on limited income, Social Security. They continue to call day, night, Sunday whatever. They are getting more rude and demanding.
Today the woman yelled, "Don't you understand you owe this debt?"
