Van Ru Credit Corporation Harasses me to collect debt owed by my son, deceased four years ago. Largo, Florida

Van Ru Credit Corporation has been harassing me to collect a debt owed by my son.  My son died four years ago at the age of 33.  Prior to his death he was unable to find employment and lived with his mother and me.

This agency has written a threatening letter to my son at my home address and called my home phone six times in the last week.  In the past four years I have contacted all his creditors that I am aware of and informed them of his death.  In some cases I have sent a copy of his death certificate.  Some of the creditors accused me of lying about his death.

Van Ru claims the original creditor is Gold's Gym for the amount of nearly one thousand dollars.  I informed Gold's Gym more than two years ago of my son's death.

These type of companies should be put out of business and their owners should get life in prison.  The BBB rates the company A+.  They need to go out of business too.
