Vanderbilt, has leached on us for almost 3 years. We are a young loan still, but like many people in these times, we got into financial trouble. We have tried to keep up, and do usually somehow, but now we are out of options. Vanderbilts way of dealing with us and so many other people it seems is to ask us to call. We do they threaten us, say get use to the idea of section 8 housing (not that its bad), maybe we should work double jobs, ask everyone and their brother for money, get a street corner job! They have called family, neighbors, and have gotten my wife in trouble at work.

Their interest rates on a late payment are outrageous, once your late never expect to get it paid off. They secretly put you into their own house insurance company which they bill as their outrageous escrow, in which u are billed for 2 years in advance. so no matter what your rate is, your payment can change whenever the insurance market shifts. The Reps that have called in the past, have been rude , immoral, and unethical. Its true what they say, u are late, You are in trouble. No help until they get their greedy hands on the past due amount.

We have sent payments before (some with some without proof) which they mysteriously never received, hmmm? They said the money is shipped and ut into a series of lock boxes and eventually filed,  what does that mean? We recently paid 3 months at once, and we owe mysteriously some 600 something dollars all of the sudden with proof of full payments.  Where did that come from?

Clayton homes where the house was manufactured put the house up and with in days and months all this occured-- major cracks in foundation, the underbelly flooded where they did not fasten the pipes in pre-construction, the gutter are leaking down into the front walls, and the ceiling is leaking around  vents in roof, a hole is forming in our bathroo now, i am trying to stop leak, also they left a pile of junk in our yard that sat there for many, many moths until we finally had to move it ourselves, after they promised too for several weeks.  I could go on, but i am talking to a congressman and representative about the matters, and am opening a myspace page about this matter too, u r welcome to look it up, thanks, and good luck to you all whom have suffered this also.
