My brother paid Vanderbilt off in 2004 it took him over 6 months (started in June and took to Dec) to get the pay off amount and he was still making payments. When he got the pay off amount the supervisor goes we added 6 months interest to the amount. He was on a fixed rate yet he paid on a variable rate. Now that they are paid off they are falsifiying his credit report. In the 3 years he has ran it almost at 6 months intervals. Vanderbilt have sent in that he filed Chapter7, Chapter 13 and another Chapter (credit agencies even questioned this) at one time (never knew you could file more then one chapter and one was for a business only). He called Vanderbilt and told them you have 30 days to correct this. They fixed it as paid in full which is what it should remain. However he waited 6 months and they changed it to another bankruptcy so called again and reminded them they were on thin ice and they fixed it. Now he just had his credit ran as of the date(8-19-2007) and they have again changed it and now its a a foreclosure.
