Velocity Micro Velocity Cruz SELLS DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS Richmond, Virginia

I purchased a Velcoity Micro Cruz tablet from Radio Shack about 6 months ago. I was hesitant to do so since the display model in the store was "over charged" and not able to turn on but the sales people assured me that this is a good product, competitively priced and a better option than the remaining choices. It worked OK; appeared to be as good as comparable technology, but then suddenly one day it would not turn on. After tracking down the manufacturer (retailer only honors warranty for 30 days) and following their "procedure" for making a warranty claim "ticket" and providing them with all the ridiculous information they needed (not just the location of the where it was purchased, but the actual receipt) they "opened a ticket" for the repair. This is a different "ticket" for asking me to produce the actual receipt (I believe they set up these steps to make the average consumer abandon the claim). They told me they would send me packaging to submit the hardware to them for repair, which they never did and today sent me an email that the "ticket" is closed. If I want to re-open the "ticket" I have to call them.

Here is the best part ... when you call them, there is no warranty department and no matter what time you call or what day of the week you call, no one answers the phone and messages left on every single extension I have ever called have NEVER been returned.

In a competitive market they rank worse than a company that could actually get away with this. I understand if you do not need to have a warranty department because you make such a superior produce that it never fails, but this company is destined for FAILURE just like their defective merchandise.

The public needs to know that unless they want disposable technology (throw away your money along with it) they should never purchase any of the products manufactured by this company.
