Yes I agree. This business is a joke. The Rep. I spoke to also told me that I would double or triple my investment within the first year! An investment of $15,000, and walk away with $45,000 in a year.AMAZING!

I read over the contact, and spoke to my lawyer, and both of us were confused. I was pushed by the representative to join up, so I did. That was my first mistake. Then I was pushed to pay for the placement service, more money out of my pocket. Sadly, this company will still go on ripping people off.

Does anyone know of a way to get my investment back from these scoundrels?

Vending

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 14, 2007

There are ways.

At one location that I have I did $100 a few months back but it depends how clean the machine is.

It depends how often the machine is serviced. If its not done properly you won't make that much money.

It also depends on the season for the locations.

It also depends on who you trust on helping to locate the machines with.

I know tons of people but it depends on who knows a certain owner.

No one gets rich quick in ANY business!

AUTHOR: Chris - (U.S.A.)

What these last 2 guys said are right. This business Is a lot of work but I like It, It's better than my current day job and when I gross $2000 per month, "bye bye!" I make on average $225 Gross per month with the 27 machines right now in my current position; and when I get out of those 8 horrible locations, relocate the 3 that were pulled, and add more machines to my route, I'll be doing MUCH better. You can do what the locating companies do and save $1300. You "scout" for customers with your machines in the back of your truck for immidiate placement. I can probably get 1 new customer in 1 hour; maybe a little bit longer.

Regarding what the last guy said, $10 per month on a bulk candy machine Is in my book defined as 'Terrific'. Bless you to find a location that does $15 or more, and out of the 27 machines placed right now there are 2 machines that do $15 AVERAGE EACH at this one location, and the owner of that location WANTS the machines there! That's my charity donation for the month! Locations like these allow you to keep locations that only average $5 or $6 a month.

My dad was in the vending business in 1989 and got out because he was discouraged by dishonest people. I won't "get rich quick," but I do KNOW I WILL do better than he did!

Additional ideas

I agree with the above person. Any business has headaches. There are no get rich quick schemes. To be more successful with this type of venture you need to do the following. 1) if you use the locators follow them and learn to do what they do. I learned it is not that hard and you will save $40 per location. Also these locators are generally not background checked and I have had my losses as well. Buyer Beware. Be smart. Like the dollar says.."In god we trust. All others pay cash" Also know that machines will periodically need to be moved either due to non productive revenues or business owner changes. 3) Do not set your sites too high. Understand that every location will yield a different amount. I set my goals at $10 per month per location. This was a better benchmark and will yield me about a 45% return per yer on the investment. Find a mutual fund to do that. 4) Look to Sams club to buy the machines. After my first purchase I FOUND BETTER BUILT MACHINES (IN MY OPINION) AND AT A LOWER PRICE! Also to buy the candy, Sams club, or several Bulk Candy places are cheaper. You need to do your homework. Again I am not defending anyone, but trying to help people not spend their life savings and expect to make the "pie in the sky money" Also my experience with the location company is they take no responsibility because they claim they hire independent contractors. I think they need to research the law a little better. And finally do not pay anyone until you inspect what you expect....Aaron

#2 Consumer Suggestion

While I think that vendstar charges a little too much for their product, I do not feel that they are a rip off company.

AUTHOR: Ant - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 07, 2006

I am not an employee or costumer of vendstar, I thought about buying a few of their machines, but was turned of by their 400/machine price tag. So I went elsewhere to buy my machine.

While I think that vendstar charges a little too much for their product, I do not feel that they are a rip off company. First off to those who invested anywhere from 400-15,000 dollars for vendstar machines, ask yourself this question, did I get my machines? If you answered yes then it seems like Vendstar kept their end of the deal. Newsflash ladies and gentlemen, Vendstar is in the business of selling vending machines that is it.

Second, it is your responsibility to make money off your vending machines, to do this you must have the right location, right product, and right demographic, which requires not only money but also time, effort, networking, research, marketing, planning, dedication, sacrifice, ect. Wait a minute this sounds a little like a business, well here is another newsflash, vending machines are a business.

Third, it seems like the biggest gripe on this rip-off report is that venstar promised that you will make money and you did not, now you want the money that you invested back and you have your lawyer to make this happen. Well I have another newsflash, vendstar should not owe you anything because you chose to invest, and no one put a gun to your head, it is impossible to guarantee someone a return on investment (ROI). And if you would have read the disclosure document, item number 5 states that ?Multi vend, LLC does not guarantee that the purchaser of its system will derive income from this business opportunity which exceeds the price paid for the business opportunity?. So Vendstar never promised you that you would make money, what they did was took their best testimonials and cases and used that for their advertisements. This is not false advertisement, because as long as you received your machines, you have the potential to make as much money as those people on the vendstar testimonials, again it depends on your locations, products, and demographics. Of course the Vendstar salespeople and brochures are going to express how much money one can make from this investment that is how they sell machines. What company do you know of that does not use the best possible outcomes of their products in their advertisements?

It just seems like many of you were so caught up in the idea of getting rich with minimal time and effort and disappointed to have learned the hard way that this was not the case, now you want to blame Vendstar. Ladies and gentlemen, there is not such thing as getting rich quick, or doing so with little time and effort and if it were, I am sure that it would take a whole hell of a lot more than a $15,000 to do so. So my last bit of advice is if you still have your machines, instead of telling sob about how you got ripped off, get back up, dust your shoulders off and try again. If you are convinced that you will never vend again, my email address is awstevens12002@yahoo.com, email me I might buy a couple of machines off you, because I am making decent money with my vending machines.

Mark Benowitz was giving me support, basic answers to important questions. I called to talk to him, but seems he is either not there, or he left the company and they are not telling me. I am getting no support on my business, and I have no clue where to go from here. I called all the numbers. Nothing. No support or help.
