Vercella Skin Lumina Derm (aka Chloe Jolie) Beyond Words Deceptive Business Practices Pacoima California

I ordered "free" samples of Vercella Skin and Chloe Jolie and was only required to pay shipping and handling of around $10.

Within a few days, I was charged $89.99 for one product and $89.98 for the other. I called to cancel the membership I did not sign up for, requested my money back and wanted to return the unwanted products. They would not give a refund nor accept a return. 

They are very hard to find and to get to them to even cancel requires a lot of digging. They say to write to support@chloejolie.com and support@vercellaskin.com. Neither addresses exist. They give a phone number to call in tiny print under terms and conditions but it is a fax number. There was a phone number listed on the charge on my bank statement; when I called it, I got the message "this company is still in business but this phone number is no longer connected" AND they did not give a replacement number.

Imagine my surprise when I was charged again less than a month later in the same amount in spite of having canceled. That means they have $360 of my money!

I canceled again but who knows if it will work this time. In the meantime my bank is investigating fraud charges and I have contacted the California bureau of consumer affairs and the Better Business Bureau (although I don't expect much help from them).

These companies (they operate under two names but have the same physical address and when I called another number I found to cancel they were consecutive order numbers) do not disclose that when you sign up for the free samples that what you are really signing up for is membership so they can charge you outrageous amounts of money. 

They apparently operate with impunity because they are still in business in spite of numerous complaints.
