Veritas prep company advertising Gmat classes all over the United States and in other countries is engaging in deception and fraudulent claims.

(1) Its license to use official test materials has been canceled by GMAC but Veritas Prep still fraudulently advertises that its materials are based on official practice problems.

(2) It fraudulently claims that all its trainers (hired by advertising on Craig;s list) have scored in the 99th percentile. Most of them have not been to grad schools of any kind and some work for h&R Block preparing taxes. Veritas prep cannot substantiate its claims and is scamming test-takers.

(3) Its "tests' are bought from other companies like 800score, barrons, arco, oxford, and some free tests released by the gmat people. It does not disclose this fact and is engaged in fraud.

(4) Its classes are worthless take some tricks and run sessions and it is a total waste of $1500.

Veritas prep must stop making fraudulent and false claims. This company is the worst in the testprep business. Even Kaplan provides some decent guarantee. Avoid Veritas prep. Do not get burned like I did.

Veritas Prep GMAT course is a bundle of lies, deception, a fraud, scam, bogus operation run by Chad Troutwine

AUTHOR: Veritas Prep Instructor - ()

POSTED: Saturday, February 01, 2014

The fradulent operator, Veritas Prep GMAT course run by scam artiste Chad Troutwine, should stop lying. I recently reapplied for instructor job with Veritas prep and the company was only happy to 'rehire' me. I had never taken the GMAT, and never scored in the 99th percentile. During the phone interview, Chad tells you that I was not to disclose to the students or to anyone that I had not taken the GMAT. In fact, the condition of hiring by Veritas Prep GMAT course run by Chad Troutwine and Markus Moberg from Malibu, California was that I should claim that I had scored in the 99th percentile. This is a scam.

I also noticed that the prep materials currently used by Veritas are the SAME CRAP that the company had used when I 'taught' for them briefly a few years ago. Veritas shortchanged me and did not pay the agreed to amount, and I quit.

Chad Troutwine, who runs Veritas Prep GMAT scam, is an unethical and unscrupulous con-artiste.

I can vouch for the fact that most of the tutors for Veritas prep gmat have never set foot inside a business school, have never taken the GMAT. Christ Kane, who taught at New York, had never taken the GMAT, never been to a business school, and is a rock climbing tutor. Do not get scammed by a rock climber teaching for Veritas prep GMAT fraudster.

Know the facts about Veritas prep GMAT scam by going to veritasprepgmatfraud.com

If you need proof that not all Veritas prep GMAT tutors have taken the GMAT, leave alone scored in the 99th percentile, contact us at veritasprepfraud@varitasprepgmatfraud.com

Veritas Prep GMAT course is a scam operation. AVOID it like you avoid swine flu.

Veritas Prep fraud

AUTHOR: Verippedoff - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 11, 2010

Veritas Prep did claim a couple of years ago that it develops its curriculum in association with GMAC. That was clearly a fraudulent claim. Graduate Management Admission Council, after being notified, promptly made the company pull this blatantly false claim from its pages. Now it claims that its tutors are ex Harvard and MIT professors. Yeah, right. What is next, Scottie? Veritas prep sells ocean-front condos in Arizona? Instead of making claims, post the credentials of all your instructors on the web. You will have more credibility then. Both Veritas prep and its shill boy Scottie are frauds.

To respond once more to these libelous claims on this site:

(1) Its license to use official test materials has been canceled by GMAC but Veritas Prep still fraudulently advertises that its materials are based on official practice problems.

> This has never been true. While we (and many other test prep companies) used to *legally* license material from GMAC, GMAC no longer licenses its retired questions to other companies, and we long ago stopped using these questions (or advertising that we use them). We, like every other *legitimate* GMAT prep company, have always abided by GMAC's standards for integrity in test preparation.

> The person posting this (who also poses as ex-Veritas Prep employees on this and other sites) cannot prove this. Why? Because we simply do not even interview anyone who has not scored in the 99th percentile on an official GMAT.

(3)

Its "tests' are bought from other companies like 800score, barrons, arco, oxford, and some free tests released by the gmat people. It does not disclose this fact and is engaged in fraud.

> We do license some of our tests from third-party companies. We have done this for years, to give our students a wide, deep pool of GMAT preparation materials. The poster continually fails to explain how this is fraudulent.

(4) Its classes are worthless take some tricks and run sessions and it is a total waste of $1500.

> What exactly is the claim here? Tens of thousands of students have taken the Veritas Prep GMAT course since our founding in 2002. Instead of spending our time anonymously bashing other companies on the Internet, we put our effort into constantly making our GMAT course better.

Veritas Prep must stop deception and half-truths

AUTHOR: EX-VERITAS TUTOR - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 27, 2010

Scott, it would serve Veritas Prep if you answered the questions raised by the various posts here rather than ask people to call you so that you can BS them about the same fraudulent claims you and your company have been making.

You have no credibility left after you pretended to be a customer of Veritas prep and was dumb enough to post a testimonial under your own name. You guys are committing fraud by not disclosing that you hire your tutors without any formal interviews or training and buy your lousy books from other companies. You must admit to these realities. Simply asking people to call you and expect them to be morons is not on the up and up.

Stop committing fraud on your students. You KNOW that your company has no standards and will hire any body. You are so desperate for tutors that you will hire anyone. You guys were caught making fraudulent claims time and time again, and should be exposed. Veritas prep is a HUGE FRAUD, SCAM, SHAM.

Veritas prep LLC is fraud, BS, scam, ripoff

AUTHOR: EX-VERITAS TUTOR - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, April 18, 2010

Scott should explain why the comments posted here are not correct. He cannot and he knows that. It is a fact that veritas prep hires tutors without interviews. It is a fact that veritas prep misprepresents its tutor qualifications. It is a fact that veritas prep company gets its materials from other companies. Veritas prep is a fraud, and you do not want to be an idiot to sign up with this company. After they take your mioney, they send tutors who were recruited without formal interviews and sent out without any training. You can complain about the tutors but what is the point? You blew your money and your time. Scott, instead of asking people to call the 1-800 number, upload the tutor qualifications and admit that your company is a scam. Anything less is unprofessional. But then, you are the guy who pretended to be veritas prep customer. You are a scumbag and so is your company. Admit it and be a man.

Veritas prep LLC GMAT is truly a RIPOFF, fraudster, scam artiste

AUTHOR: EX-VERITAS TUTOR - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 06, 2010

This guy Scott is full of it. He is so phony and imbecile that he posted a message shilling for Veritas prep as a customer, and he was dumb enough to post the message under his own name. Scott wants you to call Veritas prep so that he can BS you about his phony claims. I have taught Veritas prep and did not even have a GMAT score. Veritas will lie to get at your money. Do not be stupid and pay this fraudster your hard earned money. I have taught classes in California where students did not receive their lesson booklets and were told to share the booklets with other students. This after they had ponied up $1450 for the class. Veritas prep should not be in business, and it is about time someone exposed this shady company for what it is: it is a take your money and run operation.

Do not be dumb enough to sign up with Veritas prep. They lie about everything. There is no way they can recruit 99-percentile tutors by advertising on craigs list. The company will not disclose that its materials are bought from other companies that you can easily purchase yourself.

Do not be a sucker. Stay far away from this scumbag Scott and his company Veritas prep LLC, the other name for FRAUD and RIPOFF.

Veritas Prep LLC GMAT Veritas prep GMAT is a fraud, scam, sham, deceptive

AUTHOR: Veritas-Prep-scam - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, January 24, 2010

I have worked for Veritas prep and can confirm that Veritas prep is not being honest with the qualifications of its tutors. Instead of protesting and claiming the market report as false and untrue, Veritas prep must explain why it hires its tutors without formal interviews and ship them out to 'teach' classes. Anyone who thinks that the company can hire 99th percentile instructors by advertising in Craig's list is smoking some strange stuff. Veritas prep will not publish the credentials of its tutors because it does not do any vetting. I told Veritas that I had scored 700 and they let me teach. They paid me $25 an hour when they had advertised $100 an hour. I received the prep materials overnighted to me and was told to watch a video before heading out to the class. I was nervous on day 1 and hoped that a smart dude does not show up in the class. I was not happy to be part of the scam being carried out by Veritas prep LLC company owned and operated by Chad Troutwine and Marcus. I quit after 4 classes and the company was desperately pleading with me to stay on. I hear that they had to cancel the rest of the classes because they could not find another instructor to carry on with the training. It is true that Veritas prep is a fradulent company. Instead of asking you to call the company so that it can beeyes you on its claims is preposterous. Having taught Veritas prep, I would recommend against choosing Veritas prep for your GMAT course. Veritas prep is a scam indeed.

Veritas Prep will not even consider hiring
someone to be an instructor unless they can provide written proof that
they have scored in the 99th percentile (currently a 760) on the actual
GMAT exam.

Unlike other GMAT prep companies, we require that our instructor
achieve this score on the real GMAT, not on one of our own practice
tests. The person who posted this false claim surely cannot claim that.

Also, I challenge the person who posted this review to show where we advertise that our materials are based on official practice problems.
The bottom line is that Veritas Prep's students average better than a
110-point score increase on the GMAT after taking our course, which is
why we are able to offer the most generous retake policy in the
industry:

http://www.veritasprep.com/FAQ/GMAT-Courses/85,Does_Veritas_Prep_offer_a_guarantee.html

Please compare this to other companies' retake/refund policies, which
are either very consumer-unfriendly or require you to pay a fee for the privilege of retaking a
course.

As always, you can contact us at 800-925-7737 and talk to a real Veritas Prep employee about how you can maximize your GMAT score.

Veritas prep is unethical scammer

AUTHOR: Veritas Prep Victim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 04, 2009

I just had the WORST experience with Veritas Prep. I would HIGHLY recommend not signing up with them.

I signed up for a 42 hour 7 week course ($1500) via the Veritas prep website back in Sept of 2008. Since I had a upcoming wedding that I wanted to attend, I thought I would call veritas prep and see if I could postpone my class to January. So the rep that I spoke to, did just that. Only, he signed me up for the same course at a location that is 70 miles away from my original location. I showed up at the wrong testing center to begin the class. The center was "not currently testing" and I was turned away at the reception. When I told veritas about this, they basically told me that the test was no longer offered at that location and that I would have to drive 70 miles away (one way!) to test at this other site. I told them that this was not an option for me (since I am not speedy gonzales..) and that I wanted a refund. They said sure. I sent the materials back. Money never showed up. (they write you a check to re-imburse you) A month goes by, I speak to the "owner of the company" - Chad Troutine. Who is basically a 12 year old (or sounds like one with IQ of 12 year old) that suddenly figured out how to rip people off through a GMAT prep scam. Anyway, so Chad assures me that he will take care of this personally and that my refund will be processed asap. He assures me that he will call me the next morning and overnight my check. Chad disappears. I haven't spoken to him since. So I decided to call back for the 20th time yesterday(Feb 19th), I speak to a rep that used these words without absolutely no provocation - "Well, I'm not sure why nobody has called you but you have to be very stupid to think that we will give you your money back. We did you a favor and moved your class for you. We can not give you a refund for this now. Please stop wasting our time." When I heard this, I tried to complain to his manager. He hung up on me. I called back. He hung up on me again. I tried a bunch of random extensions till I got someone else. Asked them to find out his manager's name and connect me directly to the manager. They were able to do this for me. When I spoke to the manager, he began defending his employee and accused me of lying to him. When I asked him to pull the call to review it, he said he didn't need to because he knew I had to be lying to him. (This is the manager!!) Then...the MANAGER hung up on me! I called back...to see if I could speak to ANYONE about this...but gave up quickly knowing that this was going nowhere. Especially since the "owner of the company" refuses to follow through with his promises. I have left several voicemails on his phone and he has never called me back.

I immediately called my credit card company to dispute the charges on my card but since the class date has already passed, I'm pretty sure I will never see my money again.

DO NOT sign up with veritas prep! It is a shady company and its business etiquette is VERY flawed and they will rip you off as soon as they get a chance!

I don't think I've ever spoken to a group of people in customer service that care NOTHING about the customer, until Veritas prep

VERITAS PREP GMAT IS SHAM, SCAM, FRAUDULENT

AUTHOR: Veritas Prep Victim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 21, 2009

Here is why Veritas Prep is engaged in fraudulent claims and gross misrepresentations. It is surprising that the 'representative' of the company would be wondering why some of their activities constitute fraud.

(1) Veritas Prep still states on its website that its prep materials are based on official GMAT problems. At one point, Veritas prep advertised that its 'curriculum' was developed with GMAC. When GMAC took legal action, they backed off and modified the claim to another misrepresentation. It must state that its lesson booklets are based on its own cooked-up, unrepresentative materials that have no semblance to the real GMAT.

(2) It does not disclose that nearly ALL of its 15 tests can be bought directly from the original vendors for much cheaper prices. That is FRAUD, AND VERITAS is engaged in big-time scam and sham.

(3) It cannot show evidence that ALL its instructors are 99th percentile qualifierd ones. How may of those 99th percentile instructors regularly read Craig's list and apply for jobs with Veritas? It defies commonsense, and Veritas Prep is total fraud making claims that cannot be verified or substantiated.

(4) Veritas Prep does not disclose that its 'instructors' are hired on phone chats and sent out without any training. In effect, Veritas prep is using the consumer as guinea pigs and force them to take chances with unqualified persons who are desperate to teach for some bucks. By failing to disclose this FACT, Veritas prep is engaged in massive scam and egregious fraud.

(5) Veritas Prep cancels classes right left and center, and it does not disclose this fact either.

No matter what the representative of Veritas Prep may say, Verias prep is a total fraud, scam, and sham.

This Report Contains Multiple Lies and Misrepresentations

AUTHOR: Veritas Prep - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 04, 2009

I am dismayed that this supposed former customer has chosen to anonymously post multiple false claims on this web site. Veritas Prep always has and always will provide the industry's most comprehensive GMAT preparation, backed up by our expertly crafted curriculum and our carefully screened GMAT instructors.

Veritas Prep is the world's fastest-growing GMAT prep and admissions consulting provider, which is why such well regarded publications as BusinessWeek, U.S. News & World Report, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Forbes, and Inside Higher Education, frequently turn to us on insights on the GMAT exam and the world of graduate management education. Tens of thousands of MBA applicants have chosen Veritas Prep to help them ace the GMAT and get into the world's most competitive schools, and this number keeps growing through strong word of mouth.

We stand by these facts, and we hope that anyone reading them will give them more credence than these anonymous charges.

With that said, I will address each of the anonymous author's charges separately:

1) We do not advertise that we prepare students with official practice problems. While it is true that Veritas Prep launched in 2002 using official GMAT questions, those questions have since been replaced by Veritas Prep's own questions, which are created by Veritas Prep's own team of instructors and curriculum developers.

2) The claim that not all of our instructors have not scored in the 99th percentile is patently false. To even be considered for an instructor position with Veritas Prep, they must first achieve this score on an official GMAT exam (not a practice test, which some test prep companies accept). The fact that the author did not want to attach his name to this review suggests that he knew this was false when he wrote it. Also, if this person really lives in Chicago, they would have had one of two instructors, both of whom has earned a graduate degree. (The H&R Block claim is nonsensical.)

3) We equip our students with 15 practice tests, some of which were developed internally and some of which are licensed from 3rd parties. I am very interested to know how this constitutes fraud, but again, the author chose not to use his name, so I leave the reader to guess where the fraud lies.

4) This is an opinion, and an uninformed one at that. Our students average a score increase of 110+ points, and more than 1/3 of our students score at least a 700 on the official GMAT exam. We know this because we measure it regularly.

To the author's last point about a guarantee, our guarantee is a simple one: You may retake one Veritas Prep course of equal or lesser value, for any reason, free of charge. If you take a a full 42-hour Veritas Prep course and your score doesn't improve, we will refund your entire tuition or you can repeat the course free of charge. (Read more here: http://www.veritasprep.com/FAQ/GMAT-Courses/85,Does_Veritas_Prep_offer_a_guarantee.

I stand by any of the above statements, and am willing to put my name on the line to prove it. If you would like to discuss any of these claims with a real Veritas Prep employee and find out how we can help you maximize your potential on the GMAT, call 800-925-7737 and ask for Scott. I will be happy to help you.
