I spoke with verizon dsl services on Monday June 18 because of a debit from my account of 37.00 (or should I say attempt debit). I did not have 37.00 in the account I had 24.13 to last us until payday which would have been fine. We have gas, we have food. I just needed to buy some lunches to last us until thursday.

I called verizon dsl on monday to find out why they had attempted this debit after I told them they were not allowed into my account after an incident in April. I understand if I owe a company money but notify me at least if you are going to take it out so I can have the money in there is that so hard to do? The lady I spoke with on monday was extremely nice and issused a credit to my account so there would be no more attempts made on there and I wouldn't have to worry about it.

Well, low and behold today (june 21), when I checked my account another attempt for 37.00 was done again today. which put my account negative because the incident on Monday left me without funds available in my account. My husband doesn't get paid until tomorrow (22) so now there is a negative balance of 23.00 because of the overdraft charge.

I called verizon up once again and asked them what the balance was on the account, they told me there wasn't a balance and that there was a credit amount of 37.00 that was issused on the 18th. I said then why was there an attempt today she at first pretty much assumed I was wrong until she looked into it. then told me that it takes one to 2 billing cycles to take affect. I said fine then, I will dispute the charges with my bank to get my money back. too bad the banks gonna charge me for this.

so after all is said and done We are out about 70.00 for this ordeal and all they had to do in the first place was tell me about the debit before it took place. There wasn't any attempts last month so I thought they were done then low and behold there is monday then again today after there isn't a balance anymore.

Before anyone responds saying I didn't want to pay the bill.......please note I aknowledged that I did owe the $37.00 and was told there wasn't going to be another debit from my account. I wouldn't have had a problem paying it if i was notified before the debit so I could deposit the funds in there instead of after the fact. Then being issused a credit and the debit being attempted again. The credit was issused as a hardship credit because of the situation it caused and I appreciate the first CSR that I spoke with on Monday that understood the situation that it had caused.
