Verizon is refusing to stand by a trade promised in writing: Verizon Chat ID #753605831989609345 Chatted on 01/20/2017 at 23:16:57. This is a copy and paste of the exact words of the Verizon Wireless representative: "Verizon So what I will do is to initiate a request to have your account checked. Then I would need to partner you with our Trade in team at 800-416-8894 and they can and will be able to provide the promotion where you can trade in your phone even with cracked screen and you can choose from HTC, LG or Motorola. Verizon For your added convenience, I will note everything we have discussed today so you will be assisted properly and for a speedy assistance." They now refuse to honor this after what I estimate to be 20 hours of subsequent phone calls and trips into the store to complete the trade above.

I will not do business with a corrupt company like verizon wireless who calls the police to their customers when they are just trying to get their refund like verizon promsied in 2009

I will not do business with a business who calls the police to their customers. When Verizon promised them refunds and the customer was just trying to get what was rightfully theirs.

You weren't part of the transaction.

and you seemed to have missed these key words: "they can and will be able to provide the promotion where you can trade in your phone even with cracked screen and you can choose from HTC, LG or Motorola."  My account was checked and found to be in good standing.  As a matter of fact in the same chat they promised to refund my $200 deductible with the same verbiage and they HAVE.  I didn't post the whole chat because it is very long, however, you are welcomed to it even though you do not work for Verizon.

What you pasted from their ONE comment doesn't prove anything except that you are leaving information out.

They stated they will "initiate a request to have your account checked".

Why would they need to do that?  Is it that you were asking for an exception such an "early upgrade"?  Perhaps some other sort of credit?

At no time in this single post did they absolutely promise to give you any sort of trade, or any specifics of what that trade wold be.  So is this a case where you don't like the trade in offer?

You only posted this one comment we have no idea what the entire conversation was.  We have no idea what happened in these "20 hours" you have had to deal with them.
