Well I went to radio shack to get a wireless phone the lady told me verizon wireless was the cheapest to go with. So I chose them she puts in all my info and their computer says I need to put down a $125.00 deposit per phone I wanted 2 phones origionally but when she said $125.00 each I decided to only get 1 phone and get my wifes the following week.

I paid the lady with my debit card when I got home and checked my account it showed $250.00 had been taken out of my checking account I immediatly called and talked to them about it they said their computer only showed that they took $125.00 out of my account.

So they filed a report that takes about 10 days to complete and I told the lady on the phone that if anything in my checking account bounces they were paying the nsf charges and she said they would. (I think she said that to shut me up because I was pretty hot by then)

I called them every day until they found out where my money was they ran me around the loop everytime i called also by about the 4th day of calling them I would imediatly start off by telling them what happened because I knew they were going to ask. about 1/2 the people I talked to told me that verizon wireless would not be responsible for charging the deposit they said it was radio shacks fault.

Of course, i called radio shack and my bank it showed verizon as the one who charged it and when I would call them back they would blame my bank so by this time which was about my 6th days as being a customer I was ready to through the phone out the window at an overpass.

finally on the 11th day they found the problem their computer charged my account the $250.00 like I had told them it did and they credited $125.00 back into my checking account. but by then 5 items in my account had already bounced that should not have bounced and would not have if they hadn't charged me to much to begin with.

Now here it is 2 months later and they still refuse to pay the overdraft charges I have faxed my bank statement to them 2 times and they obviousley can't balance it out to see what i have been trying to explain to them of the 30+ customer support reps I have talk to only 2 of them have understood what I have been telling them.

Well for this months bill they are not getting a check instaed they are getting another copy of my bank statement to review to credit to my account or else it is court time. It is time to stand up to the companys that think they own us we pay their salary and they treat us like dirt.

Well you can't just plant grass over me. if I earn my money fairly that is how they will get it from me is fairly. if they mess up they should fix their error and be honerable about it.

Radio Shack

AUTHOR: Genieve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, September 26, 2005

Im sorry to hear that you went through all that hassle. The truth is, Radio Shack IS responsible. The representative at the store created the charges when she started your Verizon service. But your statement will reflect Verizon because 250.00 is the amount the Radio shack person entered as your deposit.

May I suggest getting a letter from your bank, call CS and deal ONLY with the representative on the phone. Advise him/her you will be faxing that letter to her and or her supervisor. Offer callback numbers and convenient times for you.

Give them two options, send you a check or credit your account for the NSF charges. Quite frankly, the credit would be much faster. Your decision.

Ahhhhh Radio Shack. :-X
