Verizon Wireless stole money on final bill Basking Ridge New Jersey

after 4 years of bad phones and phone service, where i could barely operate my cell phone, i tried to replace the second smartphone (droid, then droid bionic) thinking motorola was the problem. i know, not bright. verizon would not take my pre order for the new phone unless i paid full price, no 12 month payment plan, no billing to my account. no upgrade price even tho my upgrade date was 10 days away and the billing and shipping date for the new phone was 30 days off. then i go down to the verizon store, and get a rep who very insolently tells me 'let me tell you how it is'. in public.

yes, after 13 years of paying out the bleep, i finally got it. and lets not forget that both verizon wireless and fios force your calls to an app now, in an attempt to prevent contact with an actual customer service person. and that they threaten suspension and call you at work after only being 5 days late (yes, on only one bill).

so no harm no foul, i walk out over to att and sign up. now we get to the final bill. no matter that for a 2 yr contract the initial termination fee is $350.. read that fine print. its not prorated in any fair or reasonable manner. you walk before the last day and you pay $160. period.

so fine, happy to see the back of you. then the final bill comes. i did not terminate on my billing date; hmm, no pro ration. what does verizon tell me? 'it is our policy that when you leave to go to another carrier we bill you for the whole month'.  POLICY??? what about whats actually legal?? oh thats right, individuals have no legal rights of any kind any more in this country.
