verizon wireless Rebate scam and collusion with Citibank N.A. delevering bogus prepaid credit cards Redmond Washington

*General Comment: Where???

Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

It seems Verizon Wireless has become a partner in crime with CitiBank n.a. with regard to offering rebates.

Instead of getting a rebate check, or a credit on your bill, you get a prepaid credit card. You then have to register the card at one place, then go to Verizon if you want to use it to pay your bill.

In my case the card could not be registered online, because the computer would not accept the security code on the back of the card. So I ended up having to call Citi...prepaid group. They told me everything was all set.

I again tried to use the card, and it was rejected when entering the security code.

I contacted Verizon Wireless to transfer the rebate to my account...the card was again rejected. There seemed no way for one company to change the system so the rebate can be used.

I've since contacted Verizon Wireless Investor relations telling them about the fraudulent card I was issued.

I've also since contacted my Chicago consumer affairs lawyer.

You would think there would be some heads rolling after all the flack about this program set up by Verizon Wireless, but I see by the responses that this scam has been going on for some time. SHAME ON VERIZON WIRELESS AND CITIBANK = VISA. I hope there becomes a class action lawsuit and a change in the consumer protection laws ; fat chance with the fat cats in office.

So where is the ripoff? All I can see is that you are having trouble using it on a website. THATS NOT A RIPOFF!!! It may be a limitation of their system. So all youre doing is complaining to complain...real mature of you. Did you ever think to just REQUEST A NEW CARD?!?!?! No that would be the LOGICAL solution to your issue. Or better yet, just call Verizon Customer Service and see if they can help you apply the gift card to your account. Whining online isnt going to get them to give you your way. Youre about 5 yrs too late for that ploy to work. Now a days they dont even bother with consumer reports. Why you might ask.....Because of people like YOU. YOU have not been ripped off, you are just having difficulty applying a gift card to your account, yet YOU feel its perfectly alright to go on the web and blast them for something outside of their control. Like I said REAL mature of you.

Grow up, get over it, and work WITHIN the system. Throwing a temper tantrum on the web is silly at best or shows a SERIOUS sociopathic issue in your head. Its one thing to vent. Its another thing to blast them over a issue that they cant control. Thats like someone shooting you in the leg because the sun rises in the morning. YOU cannot control the sun. Did you ever think that they might not want you to pay with a gift card?? No that would also be LOGIC, a trait that appears to be missing from 99% of the posters here.

Sorry but I could NOT stop laughing after this statement.......................

I've since contacted Verizon Wireless Investor relations telling them about the fraudulent card I was issued.

I've also since contacted my Chicago consumer affairs lawyer.

So how exactly is verizons INVESTOR RELATIONS going to help YOU???? Did you plan on buying stock with that gift card?? If not then you are just calling the WRONG ppl!!! Oh and let me guess...your lawyer said there was NOTHING you could do since it was a gift card offered BY Citibank. Im also betting THEY got a HUGE laugh out of your ignorance. Your card IS NOT fruadulent!!! Just CURRENTLY unuseable on the verizon payment website.

I swear stupid and self-entitled must be vitamins you people are taking anymore. What happend to that GREAT AMERICAN EDUCATION?!?! Heres a thought........USE IT ON SOMETHING ELSE!!!!!!

Then you can continue to walk around going .."Durka...Durka...Durka" while slapping your chest with your bent hand.
