Verizon Wireless Verizon Wireless Lied to Customers - Chose not to notify customers eligible for a phone upgrade that they were taking this option away Nationwide
I called Verzion wireless today, Jan 12, 2017, to take advantage of a phone upgrade that was supposed to be owed to me because I continued to have a 2 year contract over the years. So, Verizon used to give me a credit or voucher for a good sized amount towards a new phone. I confirmed in October 2016 that I was eligible for the upgrade, but I had decided to wait until this month to take advantage of the upgrade. So, I called verizon customer service and was told that Verizon did away with all contracts and my phone upgrade benefit just a few days ago. This was done without notifiying customers which I believe is unethical and likely will not hold up in court. The company had a legal obligation to notify the customers in writing in advance so that eligible customers could use their upgrade option. I was told that I could submit a complaint in writing to this address: PO Box 5029 Wallingford CT 06492. I will be doing so and encourage others to do the same. If I don't get the upgrade that was owed to me, I will taking my business to another wireless cellular company.
