I paid off my Verizon bill from an account in West Virginia in April of 2007, however when my credit report was pulled as late as December 2007, the report is listing this as an account in collections.

I notified Verizon about the problem in November 2007, and recieved a letter stating that the account is in fact paid in full. However, potential creditor's seem to care little about this type of proof.
