Veterinarians "Prescribing" Dog And Cat Foods Laden With Detrimental, Cheap Fillers Alert To Pet Owners: Ongoing Cover Up of Unethical Consumer-Client Fraud and Deceit ALL Nationwide

With all the evidence which has especially surfaced due to the 2007 recall catastrophe, one has to wonder as to any benefits within the main ingredients of these prescription formulas -- especially considering it is "intended" for an OBLIGATORY CARNIVOROUS species:

For Cat)-Brewers Rice, Corn Gluten Meal, Chicken By-Product Meal, Pork Fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols and citric acid), Chicken Liver Flavor, Fish Oil, Potassium Chloride...

For Dog) Ground Whole Grain Corn, *Powdered Cellulose, Peanut Hulls, Chicken by-product Meal, Chicken Liver Flavor, Soybean Meal, Soybean Mill Run, Dried Egg Product, Soybean Oil, Corn Gluten Meal...

Try asking a vet, whom we entrust with our pets' health and well-being, if they can explain just why they think our pets should be eating these things ... *SAW DUST? How about Peanut HULLS?!

Has it ever occurred to anyone who reads an ingredient label that eating such things is what actually CAUSES all the most common ailments in our companion animals in the first place?

Naive companion animal owners are convinced by their trusted veterinarians that their pets "need" to ingest these things to get well while corn (which is tough to digest) -- along with soy and wheat which are also prevalent in most of these foods as main ingredients -- is among the most common, PROVEN, causes of allergies and other health issues.

Should a veterinarian "prescribe" this prescription diet for a carnivorous species of mine, not only is it legitimate grounds for malpractice, some lawyer would also have an easy day in court winning a Consumer Fraud case.

His burden of proof?

Well, for one thing, YOU'D have to PROVE that a Feline, for instance, is NOT an Obligatory CARNIVOROUS species to even justify having these diets in the lobby of your MEDICAL facility.
Furthermore, can you cite actual Medicine in these prescription formulas to justify the price which naive clients pay for it especially when comparing the INGREDIENTS side-by-side with the cheapest grocery store brands' main ingredients?

The truth regarding detrimental ingredients in these cheap filler-laden foods is out and slowly but surely spreading only thanks to Internet resources and books written by renowned veterinary and nutritional experts such as Doctors Michael W. Fox, Martin Goldstein; Elizabeth Hodgkins, Professor Marion Smart, etc. Yes, although it is our right to be informed, the Media will not alert consumers to this fraud and deceit, while we continue to over-drug our pets to mask the allergies, urinary tract infections, Hypothyroidism, Diabetes, vomiting, chronic hot spots/skin and ear infections, obesity, etc. The thing is: Aren't we supposed to trust our veterinarians more than the Media (as well as all of those other *commercial retailers*) anyway? Did you not take an Oath?

Pet owners need to call for regulation requiring legitimate courses and/or reading up on the basics of (canine and feline) nutrition and putting the health of the patients first before a vet can advise unknowing pet owners what to feed their pets and proceed to sell them this obscenely overpriced health risk.

Are the over-crowded shelters and rescues not overflowing enough, due to people no longer being able to afford to even keep their pets?!

Just try to imagine what repercussions our family Physicians would face if they attempted to convince patients that they needed to be put on prescription" Corn Chip diets. Would we accept this -- despite the ingredients we see listed right on the packages -- and keep shelling the hard-earned money out, just as we do without hesitation for our chronically ailing companion animals?

PS I had to put this into the "Political Cover Up" category because there is not one for "Veterinarians", and the Pet Food Industry has so many people in its pockets (ad revenues; dog/cat show sponsorships, etc.) that we are not informed by the Media, or anyone else we should be able to trust and inform us!! I learned all this AFTER all the chronic illnesses; over-drugging; skin and ear irritations; mystery illnesses and inevitable Cancerous Tumors only by finding the info digging on the INTERNET!
