VFC TOTAL SCAM!!! Toronto Ontario

Two years ago I purchased a vehical from a local dealer. The car was a piece of crap. Every month it was costing in exess of $400 to fix. The finance company of choice was vfc. First and foremost if I was not desperate for a vehical I would have shopped around. 28% interest firstly, insane. Then my husband became unemployed for a short period and we could no longer afford the 500 plus in payments.

I called vfc, faxed them and sent them countless emails on returning the vehical, to no avail. Nobody returned my calls, answered my emails etc. Finally payments fell behind and then the nasty telephone and letters started coming. Four a day at home plus a couple at work. My employer told the nice east indian fellow that she did not want them to call and in turn he told her that he would keep calling until the issue was resolved. This stopped after she threatened to call the ministry.

Finally VFC called in a repo man to collect the vehical.. All unnecessary as I had sent numerous letters trying to have the car sent back. Arrangements were made to turn in the vehical however nobody came. A few months again went by and more phone calls and letters, my husband ( now back to work) received a phone call that the vehical was reported stolen and we were being charged with auto theft. The car finally was taken away.

A year later VFC sued us for the full balance of the car and ultimately won due to the fact they were sending court papers to another address. We are now being garnished for full amount of the vehical in which we do not own. I highly recommend staying away from this loan sharking company and take the bus. If anybody else has had this problem, would love to hear how it was solved. Im at my witts end, and at the bottom of my credit level.
