 I am writing to alert potential consumers of the horrible fraudulent practices of Vida Vacation Group. While staying in Cabo we attended a timeshare presentation at the Mayan Palace where we were given breakfast and a tour. We then sat with a man named Juan Ignacio and discussed a "timeshare". This turned out to not actually be a timeshar but something called "vacation Privilages". After many false promises and LIES we agreed to the verbal terms presented and signed a contract for 1000 weeks over 10 years to be used on RCI, SPX, gold crown properies. Bee were to receive $5000/ month credit towards "Vida dollars" which can be used towards airfare, car rental, excursions or cruises. I specifically asked if this money could be used towards a Disney cruise. They replied that yes all of it can and if we prepaid 3 payments there would be $15000 to utilize which would essentially cover he cost of the cruise. I repeated these terms to TWO other reps. They also stated we could use them at properties through out the world as our goal is not to return to Cabo but to travel everywhere. As we were leaving Cabo 2 days later I googled this arrangement and discovered the long line of fraudulent practices and immediately attempted to cancel our contract. According to Mexican law we have 5 days to rescind. I emailed, called, faxed and mailed letters to multiple locations. FINALLY, we were able to speak with someone named Joe who informed us there was no way to cancel this contract?!? WHAT? I will be flooding all consumer websites, emails and calling until this is resolved. I have attempted to speak to the mysterious "Karen Rose" at Group Vidante with no results. If anyone has any suggestions I would very much appreciate it.
