This owner has fraudulent practices.  I made 2 payments to them through PayPal totaling $1,539.  After the payments were sent the owner became very slow to respond or non-responsive.  On 11/16 I called the # they had listed on a previous message to me and the people who answered the phone knew nothing of a house in Florida.  I spoke to 2 people at that number.  I sent an email message to the seller accusing them of fraud and then they immediately contacted me saying that I would not be able to use the house I had paid for but they might be able to offer me a different house.  They were not sure and promised to call the next day.  They did not contact me as promised.  I sent a message asking for a status and the next day they said they would send the information "shortly."  They never sent the information and therefore left me without a place to stay 4 days prior to the arrival date.  They baited me along for 6 weeks.  They used the bait and switch tactic.  They told me I could not have the 3600 sq. ft. house I paid for (1 week before my travel date) but were going to allow me to stay in a 2500 sq. ft. house and then still didn't tell me where it was nor gave me an alternative contact in Florida.  They refuse to refund my money unless I send them a cancellation letter in writing.  However, if I send them a cancellation letter in writing, I forfeit all of the monies paid.  I am due a refund because they did not provide what they were supposed to.

I disagree with your comments.

This is a company that I have used for my vacations on several occasions, at least once per year, for our celebrations. They have three villas in Orlando, one in Margarita and several others in London.
One experience stands out for me. I placed a reservation with them and my had to have some treatment during the vacation period. I emailed them, and they requested that I put this in writing. Once I did that, they refunded all the funds within 24 hours, including the deposit. They were very understanding and supportive. That was my first experience with them.
If you look at their terms and conditions, it does state that they will only accept cancellations in writing and they do refunds- as they did for me.

How could they refund if you refused to cancel the reservation? The way I see it, you could have cancelled properly and given them a chance to do the right thing by you, even if there had been communication issues.
My family and I have stayed with them over the years and have found them to be helpful, honest, supportive and have great villas. There is nowhere else that I would stay when family comes over for our celebrations.
