Village Green Of Lansing THESE APARTMENTS ARE DISGUSTING AND THEY REFUSE TO REPAIR Lansing MICHIGAN

I originally lived in an apartment on the corner of the third floor. It was nice except for the closet doors being rusty and half the plugs not working but i learned to adapt. It cost me 590 a month and the only thing I had to pay was electric.

Unfortunately, my friend had a spat with the Misses and I had my lease "transferred" to another apartment. This one on the 2nd floor and down on the other side of the building. I shouldve been taken aback when they were apprehensive about me seeing the apartment.

They wanted me to sign the lease before I even saw the new place. And then when I signed the lease, they tried extending it, so I demanded it to be re-written. The was only the first of many swindles.

When I first looked at the apartment, I saw bugs in the empty refrigerator. The dishwasher did not work. The drawers in the kitchen were falling apart, the counter had burns and chips and "chunks" missing out of it. Sadly after I moved in I even found MOLD in the bathroom. The AC would not work, and of course, as standard. Half the plugs DO NOT WORK.

Now I was assured that most of these things would be fixed upon move in. And we played the game and filed them all on the move in sheet. I also have dated photographs. And to this day, NOTHING has been fixed. And management will play games with you. None of them ever look at the same records. When I moved in they did not have a mailbox key made, so the person in the office gave me that MASTER copy. I misplace that and of course they charge me, then they change my mailbox locks 4 times and try to charge me for each. Then they send me a bill for an imaginary electric bill for a time that I DID NOT live here.

My neighbors are a nightmare. They leave trash out, swear, play loud music. Upon complaint the office does NOTHING. I live amongst trash and filth.

When I first moved in I was told that for 2 weeks my apartment was empty while they painted and did repairs. The paint fumes were so strong still it was like the painters just left. My head hurt so bad I lost memories. There seemed to be no repairs done at all. Earlier this month I helped some neighbors move out, while in their apartment I observed some common problems as it seems in all the apartments. The next day new tenants were moving in and they said the same story I had been told, "We had to wait for 2 weeks while the apartment was cleaned." I did not tell them the truth hoping their experience would be better.

The office also never shows you the apartment youll be living in, they show you the model prints. This right here should be illegal.

I know there are worse horror stories on this site, but that does not make this place right. If these repairs are not taken care of soon I am considering legal action.

either way, this complex is filthy and management DOES NOT CARE.
