The website claims to sell items that others have listed on craigslist, ebay, etc.  They require you to wire cash bank-to-bank and the seller will even email you a photo id and passport to make you feel warm and fuzzy.  It'll be a picture of a young middle-eastern doctor.  They offer a "7 Day Money Back Garantee", too.  Their voicemail is computer generated and littered with gramatical errors.  Phone calls about your inquiry wilcoem from Florida and they claim to have warehouses in multiple states and overseas.  If you look online you will find a few old forum posts with positive reviews, but their bogus, too.

scam, scam, scam..Cost me a good bit of cash and I'm a pretty savvy internet user.  The product I was buying was listed so low it was too good to pass up.  As they say, "if its too god to be true..."

UPDATE - NOT SCAM - Vinton Auto Sales and Consignment is legitimate!

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, April 25, 2017

I must admit I was wrong, they are for real. My lawyer went to their New York office this morning and they showed him the proof my product is already on the way to my address. Their business is legit and they are on the market since 2009. I'm really sorry for this confusion, as I've mentioned from my first post, I'm new in this world and made wrong researches. Stay away from writing bad reviews on beside of this company services as they fill out complaints against any person that write negative posts. It looks like now I'm the one in trouble, for filling out the previous negative reports. Does anyone know how I may hurry up this process because the website requires a lot of verification and so on, and that will lead me a lot of costs? Seems the posts on this website cannot be removed easily, it requires a a lot of verification, which is very odd. According to my attorney, I should remove the reports as soon as possible as the VintonAuto Sales and Consignment reputation has been affected and they suffer looses from my fault. To end with, I kindly ask everybody that considered VintonAuto Sales and Consignment services unsafe from my fault, to ignore my previous posts. It was just a misunderstanding, they are a legitimate company.

UPDATE to the scam

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Monday, April 24, 2017

After more research I discovered that the fake website that the seller, supposedly a doctor, links to in actually a complete copuy of a real website.  The fake is: www.medicineinstitutenetwork.com and the real website is: www.openmedicineinstitute.org. Notice the fake website has the seller listed as being on the board of directors and the real does not.  Also, all phone numbers have been stripped from the fake site.
