VIP COLLINGWOOD ripoff CHARGED MEMBERSHIP TWICE. Still haven't been fully reimbursed COLLINGWOOD Ontario

We decided to join VIP's holiday system hoping to have many holidays in Canada in the future. We have tried several times to gain accomodation from them and have left messages on their answering machine... no call has ever been returned. We usually ended up booking accomodation ourselves.

We had a credit agreement with the company that we would pay $250 per month over the summer and then pay the account in full in November. I charged the amount to my credit line on 13th November. Imagine my dismay when I found out in January that this company had made repeated withdrawals from my credit card. Because of their bumbling they carried on taking $250 dollars a month from our account and then in January processed $3000 from my VISA account.

I contacted the office who did not believe that I had paid the account! This is thousands of dollars we are talking about. I had to proove to them by showing them a bank statement and the actual cheque (lucky i could find it). I was told eventually that there had been a breakdown in communication by an irate woman who really should have given me an apology. We then had to go to our bank and my bank manager phoned them asking for the money back several times... it took two weeks; they refunded the $3000 dollars but we feel the interest and the additional monies from our visa account should be refunded. We have lost confidence in the company and have asked to cancell our membership.. as usual.. no reply!
