I purchased a Virgin Mobile Chaser for the express purpose of getting a $70 credit on my bill after paying for 1 month of service.  The month that I paid for ended September 26, 2013 and I called to see where my $70 credit was.  They said I did not purchase the phone from their online store. I most certainly did buy it from them and I did the online activation as required. The phone would not work after activation so I called in to see why.  The girl said, turn the phone off for 15 minutes and then turn it back on, that is ALL she did and said.  I did this and the phone began working.

They are still saying I did not buy the phone from them on the online store, so I just sent them the proof of my purchase that I copied from my account with them on their website.  I don't know what is wrong with these people. The purchase was right on my account and they are trying to say I bought the phone from a brick and mortar retailer. I will let you know the next step since I just sent them the proof of purchase from their online store. UGH!

Finally got my credit to my account

AUTHOR: VM PRR - ()

POSTED: Monday, October 14, 2013

My advice here is:  keep all your records or you'll never get the rebates they promise.  After writing back and forth with Virgin Mobile, they kept saying I never bought the phone through the website. I found my e-mail that proved that I DID buy the phone through them. It took another e-mail and three more phone calls for them to admit that "oh yes, you did buy the phone through us, and you did follow all the rules".

The credit went on my account within a few hours after that.  I can see that people that don't save e-mails and such could be in a situation where they would never see the credit to their account.  They stonewalled me for about a month and a half.  Not good business on their part. This phone was for my husband. I had been a customer for about 4-1/2 years.  He is not happy about this situation and we will probably switch him back to StraightTalk since they have unlimited minutes for the same price we are now paying for 1200 minutes with VM.
