Virginia First Financial, Eric Stampler 804-334-3972 Non-Payment of Notary Services Richmond Virginia

I am Notary Signing Agent in Northern Virginia. In Jan and Feb of 2004, I performed 2 closings for Virgina First Financial Services which Eric Stamper is the owner of this company. In late Jan he called asking me to do a single loan closing, in which the loan closed as required. It was early Febuary when another agent backed out on him and he needed someone immediately. I agreed to the clsosing non-payment didn't seem an issuse, since most companies pay within 30 days.

That day I went to the borrowers home, and after numerous calls to the LO the borrowers did not close on the 2 loans. After speaking to Eric Stampler and his assistant he agreed to pay half the fees for both loans. I invoiced for all closings.

After months of not reciveing the funds, I called Mr. Stampler, without any return calls or emails. I sent a demand for payment letter. Of course this didn't seem to bother him because I still had no response. So still i am without pay and a little ticked off.

It was just recently that i logged on to this website and noticed that he was there again for non-payments. I would love to recieve the money but i hope to warn other signing agents not to work with this company.

It is absolutely pitiful that the president of the company has such horrible work ethics. He shames the good businesses out there looking and paying their notaries. I guess there will always be a bad apple in the bunch. I am going to resend the demand letter and see what happens, and contact the better business bureau. This man and his company needs to be STOPPED!!
