I've already responded to this breeder's rebuttal, however, today I found the rest of the records. The rebuttal written by this breeder is pure libel. 

For anyone that doesn't care to read the attorney letter, the contract I received was not valid and for that reason the claim was filed in my state and the breeder was served in her state.

I have a small number of very nice dogs and a waiting list of people that want a puppy from me. I'm not in competition with anyone.

I'm not going to allow anyone to suggest that I would ever mistreat any animal.

I must have touched a nerve!  

I don't want to waste any more time on Ms.Hauber but I want people to think twice before they give their money to this person.  

This is the information the court used to make their decision. 

BTW, I don't know who the friend is but the basement is carpeted, furnished, and quite comfortable... the only time any dogs are down there are when they follow me down to do laundry.

This is in response to the above complaint about me and my dogs.  As a long time reputable breeder of 20 years I have learned that there are many people who fool you when trying to buy a dog. As a member of the Chihuahua Club of America, The Nashville Chihuahua Club, Dixieland Chihuahua Club and Chichuahua CLub of Atlanta, my reputation among reputable breeders is well known.  My dogs are known for wonderful temperaments and beautiful conformation. I am a small hobby breeder and an AKC Breeder of Merit.   Ms. Hall presented herself as a lover of animals and wanted to begin showing dogs.  I placed an older dog with her who had no disqualifying faults for the show ring and Ms. Hall was in love with him upon his arrival.  Later she told me she took him to a handling class and he was fearful.  I wanted to help her get started in the show world so offered to replace him with another dog of same quality when available.  I told her to neuter the dog and that she could place him in his forever home and keep any and all money she could get for him.  She didn't get an immediate placement for him and began to complain.  She later wrote me saying she wanted a young puppy.  It is well known in the show dog world that a dog is not considered show quality until at least 6 months old and therefore, I told her I could not do that.  This made her upset and she then threatened me and told me she was taking the dog to a no kill shelter that day.  Now keep in mind that Ms. Hall had previously informed me that she was a "rescue" person and had rescue dogs at her home.  Later she told me she was selling them and the puppies she had from a rescued female.  Once Ms. Hall threatened to take the dog to a shelter, I contacted a friend living several hour from her who offered to go pick up the dog that very day.  When I called Ms. Hall to tell her someone would be there to pick up the dog she stated, "No one is taking MY DOG."  I then stated that we were no longer going to be communicating and I hung up the phone and have never spoken to her since.  I immediately contacted a friend of mine who truly is active in Rescue and she facilitated a new home for the dog. Ms. Hall, of her own choice, shipped the dog to his new home in Florida.  This was 4 years ago and I have been in continual contact with the new owners  since that time.  When the dog arrived, he was fearful of even walking on the grass.  

From what I was told from my rescue friend, Ms. Hall hated me so much that she put this poor sweet little dog in a dark basement to live alone.  I am not sure how long the dog was down there.  All I know is that I consider this to be abusive behavior to any animal.  It was then that I swore never to have any further dealings with this woman and she would never own a dog of mine nor would I pay her for abusing a sweet little boy.  All of my statements can be documented by the rescuer (who later told me she was fearful of Ms. Hall suing her as well) and the new owner.  The dog had many problems when he arrived and thanks to his new owners who were willing to do what was necessary to help this little dog, he is happy and healthy today.  

Ms Hall won her complaint against me because I did not go to her state to fight it as the contract Ms. Hall signed stated that any and all legal proceedings would be held in the State and County where I was living at the time.  So Ms. Hall broke the contract and I consider this judgement invalid.  Please know that anyone at anytime can say anything about anyone on here. Much of what she wrote in her document is a lie.  I have our correspondence as proof.  I know that what I did was the right thing and I would do it again.  To my knowledge Ms. Hall does not belong to any kennel clubs and has not produced any quality show dogs, and is not an AKC Breeder of Merit. I have been in the show world for 20 years producing the 20l4 Top Agility Chihuahua as well as numerous Top 20 dogs and National Specialty winners.  My reputation with long time Chihuahua show people speaks for itself.  Thank you for reading my rebuttal.
