I went to Ralph's Grocery on March 16,2014 to purchase a Visa Gift card for my Son's birthday. I paid $100.00 and I saw the clerk activate the card. On March 22nd, my Son's birthday I gave my Son the card. He then went to two merchants to use the card and the card was declined. I then took the card and gave him a $100.00 bill. On March 28. 2014 I then called the number on the back of the card 866-952-5653 as instructed(The numbers are so small you need a magnifying glass to read them). After jumping through so many hoops I finally got through. I told them my card was declined. I was given a Fax number (414-341-7600) and told to Fax them a copy of the card along with proof of purchase and the card would be activated.
On March 31,2014 I faxed (a)copies of the card(front & back)along with my (b)receipt from Ralph's Grocery and (c) a letter and my phone number. As of April 21, 2014 I have heard from the Visa Gift card issuer. So, I called just as I did on march 28th. I was asked if I'd faxed the information to the number that was given to me on the 28th. I told them yes and that I had verification that the fax was received. I was told to send the fax again! Which will be another $6.00.

I am a 10th grader still in school. so not long ago My father took me to Ralphs and I asked him to buy a card and he said yes. So he gave me a 100.00 (plus the stupid tax of $5.95) this was on september 26, 2015. I got home and everything looked fine. I then ordered some things online and everything seemed to be working. (Amazon) Well... now it's been 3 days since i've been trying to fix the whole mess they put me into. So my friend and i decided to call them up and we got help but they gave us a number (414)341-7600 to fax them things but we don't know what to do? Can anyone help? :(

I'm sorry, but as a consumer researching this information and having this happen to me twice, both at the hands of Ralphs. I would say that complaining you spent $6.00 for the fax is ridiculous, why didn't you look elsewhere to find a cheaper fax? I've used them twice with this method and although it's been frustrating, it's been very easy. Moreover, they're remedying a wrong that Ralphs obviously did. Your complaint should be against Ralphs for starting this mess. I know what triggers this error. If you're paying for this gift card with a debit card, make sure you swipe after they verify your id and ok the transaction on their computer. Once they verify it, pay for your card. I don't know why this is, but I purchase a lot of these every month as gifts and noticed this.
