I purchased a V2Premier computer from ShopNBC on November 4, 2003 for $1799.98. My DVD burner stopped working around the beginning of August 2005. I have extended warranties for my hardware and software so I contacted the company. Viscom Technology first had technicians check my computer using on-line software called Digital Lifeline. I got the "runaround" with the software division. After talking with numerous technicians, I finally contacted the Manager Mark Salinas. He had a technician call me. After as few more phone calls,it was determined that it was a hardware problem. I contacted the hardware devision. They have been giving me the "runaround" since mid August. It is now the end of October. My computer is not fixed.

A technician came to my home approximately the end of August. He install a 'New?" DVD burner. After he left, I tried the burner. It didn't work plus the DVD player also stopped working after his repair. He returned a second time and was unable to fix the problem. They have been promising me new replacement drives. Every time I call I get a different story. The last time I called they said they needed the technician to return the defective drive before they can mail out new drives for the technician to install.

The defective drive is the "new?" replacement installed by the technician during his first repair attempt. Both drives are still in my computer. The technician hasn't been here to collect them. I haven't received two new drives and I haven't heard from Viscom Technology. Can anyone out there help me get my computer repaired?

ShopNBC Extended Warrenty to the Rescue

I am an employee that works for the company that deals with the extended warrenties purchased from ShopNBC one of which being a VisCom laptop like the one above ( it is actually how I found this site, I was looking for the phone number to VisCom for a customer with a laptop under their warrenty ) and I was reading over this information and just from the lack of anything I have ever heard of this brand of laptop and looking over our policies I am going to try and get it changed to where our plan will take over the MFG warranty if the MFG will not cover a covered failier/is giving the run around with customers so we can get these problems taken care of for you guys, and no I am not trying to sell these plans, after all I don't care if you buy them or not lol. The creator of this Report wanted to know how to get his laptop fixed and I am sure other people are wondering the same thing, so I am working on for you guys!
