A sales rep came to my door with a newer updated panel for my security system and said he would update my panel and lower the cost.  We had 5 mos left on our current system contract.

They said they will also pay any money owed on the current contract.  After I signed the contract I called back the Salesman and said I don't see anything in writing about you paying off the contract.  His ans was the guy you spoke to on the phone with the accent verified that.  At 9:15 PM that evening the tech came to install Vision's system.  He took my current panel with cellular radio inside and said he would recycle it.

After second thoughts I cancelled via mail, phone and fax within the 3 business days I had to change my mind.  After the cancellation they called and wanted to know what happened.  I said I did not like the fact that the payoff to the current security co. was not in writing and that I looked on the Internet and saw many complaints re Vision Security.  He said you can go on any security system site and find complaints.

Then I called the salesman to have the tech come get their equipment out and he said I can make the contract 3 years instead of 5.  I said no and he said I could bring you a check over right now to pay off the contract.  I refused.

Lucky for me my current security system took me back (and they thanked me for giving them a 2nd chance).  When the tech came to set me back  up with my old system he said he needed my panel with the cellular radio in it.  I called Utah and they sent the tech back with my panel with radio they took and they removed their equipment.

When the current security came to set me back to their system my number code didn't work and they couldn't shut off the system.  He read the numbers on the radio to someone on the phone and that was NOT my radio.  They must have switched my cellular radio to someone else's system.

After putting in a new radio the system was programmed and I called Utah and said that was not my radio.  A guy named Greg told the girl that all they have to do is reprogram the cell and that they were not responsible for that. Also the sales people come around in cars, not marked trucks, and they come a lot after dark.

Lesson learned here:  Do not do business with door to door sales people, esp if they are not driving a vehicle with the company name on it and also their State of Fl license number. If I can keep somebody else from getting ripped off I will be glad.
