#15 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Please don't call yourselves sales people

AUTHOR: Stan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, September 22, 2006

Teee Heee Heee,

Reading all of this back and forth banter is quite amusing.....Let's clarify here! There are NO sales people at Symphonix. There are script readers and at the management level sales flunkies at best. The "sales trainer" is a smug, snot that graduated from Orono college. The only sales experience she has involves MLM and peepee cream. As a matter of fact the only sales experience any of this team has under their belts has been affiliated with questionable companies, aside from the owner whom also owns a brewery. (A far cry from health products!)

Going back to the snide car salesman comment Jennifer spouted off about in a prior post. As far as I'm concerned a shoe salesman is about three rungs further up the corporate ladder than some sniveling, bottom feeder only capable of selling crap to people that are desperate for some form of social acceptance.

If any of you "sales people" at Symphonix (VisionTel) have anything to share please feel free to bring your scripts and rebuttal sheets and fire away.

Cheers,
Big Daddy Butterknuckles

STOP BEING LAZY AND BLAMING US!

AUTHOR: Stephanie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, November 27, 2004

Ok, so I've been reading through all of these comments and I HAD to back up Katie!! EVERYONE seems to have the same issues: A. "My card was charged and I never authorized it.", and B. "They wont refund my card". My comments to these statements are: Firstly, it's not a good idea to purchase anything over the phone (or internet), if you are not willing to take a little extra time to listen and/or read the promotional information. Personally, I have never bought something without being completely aware of ALL terms. I can honestly say, as an employee of the company, that we ALL clearly state the (lengthy) terms of the program. I understand that it may be difficult to sit through a 5-10min phone call, but if you are not willing to sit through the process of addressing ALL future obligations, why are you agreeing to the terms. The precise wording by all employees is:
(MUST BE VERBATIM)... in 21 days we will send 6 bottles at a discounted rate of $164.90. That breaks down to less that $28 per bottle. That is over a 50% discount. This will be billed to the card that you're using today under the name of Visionlabs and every 85 days there after unless you call to cancel. All information on the promotion will be in your package when it arrives in about 7-10 business days...

And all info IS in the package when it arrives to you. We also stress that you can always call to change or customize the order. You dont want six bottles, FINE get one, two, three, I dont really care. But I wouldnt let myself be stuck with 6 bottles if I didn't want them. Especially if I knew I could have just called and adjusted the quanity, or cancelled.

So, in closing, Please just take a second to read everything. It wont take THAT long. You wouldn't just breeze through loan or legal documents, would you? Well, money is money, and the only way to keep it secure is to COMPLETELY understand the obligations you get yourself into when you give ANYONE your financial information. I dont understand why people do not taking purchasing items seriously. You ARE giving away your personal information, address and cc#. I dont give that important information away without complete understanding of what I'm getting into. So, instead of blaming the employees, the company, or the product, take a minute to blame YOURSELF for not paying more attention when agree to a verbal contract!! p.s. confirmation is recorded in a call log program, so we know that you definitely agreed to the terms (that has to be a YES or OK, not UH-huh). Plus, we also have quality assurance listening to the calls before they are in the call log program.
TAKE RESPONSIBLITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS!!

Both of you should read the "Complaint for Permanent Injunction, etc." filed by the Federal Trade Commission against this company and it's officers in the US District Court for WDC on August 14, 2004. This should resolve the "Bad Guy, Good Guy" issue.

Dave Dave Dave Where oh Where do you get your information?

AUTHOR: Jennifer - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 09, 2004

This response is to Dave from my hometown...

Dave Dave Dave

You write these reports about a company that you worked at for a total of what, 2 months? or was it 1 month? I remember you and to be honest, I would never have hired someone with your attitude about selling and even worse your negativity.

First of all Dave you don't know what you are talking about when you come up with these "reasons" why the business run by Symphonix is a RipOff... Where do you get your information?

Second who has the time to babble like yourself about something that really should not concern you. Were you ripped off by Symphonix?

Third, you were not fired due to your showing Russ (who is actually one of the most honest down to earth men I know) this website. You were dismissed due to your lack of effort and knowledge about the products that are sold at Symphonix and your negative attitude that does nothing but make you look like a person who lost his job and is now mad at the company that did this to him.

I feel sorry for you Dave. Where do you work now? Plaistow has many car dealerships that you could land a job at!!! Oh no, excuse me you don't like sales. Too bad for you. Maybe a local church is hiring. You should become a priest. They are honest, right?

IT IS A RIPOFF, HERE'S HOW THEY DO IT:

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 03, 2004

The sales people at Visionte, Vision Labs, or Symphonix (all the same people) use scripts when they are called by prospects. The scripts are very specific, and designed to accomplish two things:

1. The first goal to accomplish with the script is: Get that customer to say yes over and over so that they will do so monotonously, and they will get worn down, and say yes to future shipments. The script is long and very tedious to read, and it is even MORE tedious to endure listening to. By the time the rep gets to the part about future shipments, the customer just wants to get off the phone and will answer affirmative to ANYTHING, if it will only put and end to the rep's inceasant droning. Not too smart on the part of the customer, but VERY SMART for the overcharging Vision Labs.

2. The second goal is accomplished by recording the rep reading the legalese AND recording the customer agreeing. They cover themselves legally, by badgering the customer into agreeing to larger orders, future shipments, memberships to useless discount clubs, and junk like Video Professor. Most folks are so bored listening to that script, that they simply do not pay attention!!! And the rep may not change, nor leave out one single word or they will be fired from their minimum wage job.

It borders on theft by deception, because they KNOW people are NOT listening and yet they are agreeing (on tape) to buy, buy, buy. If you are a crook, this sounds like pure genius. If you are a consumer, it sounds like pure outrage. So your opinion will be determined by which group's values you subscribe to, I guess.

The scam is, they bore you to sleep (practically) and then creep into your wallet while you're sleeping. Now maybe Katie would say..."It's not OUR fault if the customer is asleep at the wheel and saying yes". But most of the folks calling are older, less confrontational, and in all honesty, they are not very good at bargain hunting. Symphonix is taking advantage of the VERY VULNERABLE people who call in, by preying on their vanity (talking about things like sexual performance) and their lack of consumer awareness. I am trying very hard NOT to say that the callers to Symphonix are stupid, but it's the ones who buy a bottle of herbs for 59.95 that are getting ripped off, when the same product is around 8 bucks a bottle in any vitamin catalog.

BUT....HELLO!!!! IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!!!! There is NO scientific evidence to support the idea that these herbs will improve your sex life, or remove acne, or lose weight, or quit smoking. These products may even be harmful or have adverse reactions when taken with other supplements or medications, And the standard line given by Justin, the sales trainer is...."Obviously I'm not a doctor, but I've talked to people in the same situation who are having great results". That canned answer is hammered home in training and he makes trainees write it down. From a legal standpoint, it covers them from being sued for making false claims. All it really does is dodge the questions of safety and effectiveness.

Visiontel is NOT A RIPPOFF

AUTHOR: Tom - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 02, 2004

I have been working for Visiontel (Symphonix)for almost 2 1/2 years. I am a sales rep on the sales floor.

We are very clear about our sales process. I for one always tell people how the trial works. I make sure they listen to me. I am an honest person and would not trick people into buying something that I don't believe in. Our products work and work well.

People in general tend to procrastinate when it comes to money back gaurantees. Our gaurantee comes in writing. If you bother to read it, you will know exactly what to do to get a full product price refund.

I personally and Symphonix in general care about our clients. Happy clients means more business. We have been in business for over 6 years. If we were ripping people off, we would have been closed a long time ago.

A word to the wise to the public. When ordering over the phone listen to what the rep says, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Caring reps, such as myself and all others here will answer those questions with honesty and integrity.

getting mad because you just don't listen

AUTHOR: Katie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 10, 2004

nope again.. First of all, I don't make as much money as I did before. If people want to go to the store and get herbs than they can. If they don't like our prices, then why buy it. Would you buy something you thought was too much? No, you wouldn't. I am not getting mad because "I think your right". I am getting mad because you just don't listen.

You charge too much and YOU KNOW IT, Katie

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 09, 2004

Katie, yohimbee bark, and the other ingredients in Procylon may do some good for impotence, but one can buy it for 8 bucks per bottle almost anywhere. You people charge 6-7 times that and THEN deceive people into buying more on autoship (after all, gotta keep those spiffs coming, right?). Look on line almost anywhere and you'll see the exact same junk you sell for WAY less and sold by companies that never hock people a chinak to buy more in the future. So, how many cross sells ya got this week, eh Katie?

The only reason you get upset by this is because you know I'm right.

find out the facts before you blame

AUTHOR: Katie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 07, 2004

First of all, don't speak unless you know the truth. If you look in ANY medical book and go under impotence, you will see many HERBS that will help, especially yohimbee bark, which is one of our ingredients. I talk to people all the time who call to reoder and I ask how it worked for them. If this didn't work, we wouldn't be selling over $100,000 a week in reorders. Think before you speak and find out the facts before you blame.

Katie defends the company (NOW CALLED SYMPHONIX) because she makes HUGE $$$ by overcharging people....

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 06, 2004

THESE OVERCHARGING PEOPLE HAVE CHANGED THEIR NAME!!! HERE IS THE AD THEY USE TO RECRUIT:

Symphonix, LLC, formerly known as VisionTel, is seeking motivated, ambitious and energetic individuals for Inbound Telesales. We're in the business of offering educational and health products to the public through radio, television and print advertisements. Previous sales experience preferred.

Earn $15 - $30 / hour

Flexible schedules available

Business casual dress

The reason Katie is sick and tired about hearing that this company is a ripoff, is because she makes huge $$$ overcharging people for non- working garbage. If you must buy herbal supplements, go to Vitamin World or any other on-line supplement supplier and get the same thing at 70-80% discount.

I'm sure Katie and her coworkers are all really nice people, but this company makes enough money (by WAY overcharging) to pay them 30 dollars an hour for reading scripts. Read some of my previous postings so you can see how the scripts are designed to deceive and relieve you of your $$$.

NOT A RIPOFF!!

AUTHOR: Katie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 04, 2004

I am sick and tired about hearing that this company is a ripoff. We are clear with our words and very honest about our programs because we do have Quality Assurance listening in to our phone calls. If we make any claims or change the words in scripts that we have to read verbatim, we have to call the customer back to clear up the situation or lose the sale. First of all, the man I am rebutting obviously didn't understand what he was getting with his "gifts". First of all, those are scripts we HAVE to read verbatim. They are trial memberships. You have 30 days with one to cancel and 60 with the other. If you try them you can claim gifts. With Procylon and the other herbal enhancement pills, as I am very tired of repeating this, ARE NOT FREE SAMPLES!!!!! It is a 30 DAY RISK FREE TRIAL. I hope from now on, people will understand that you HAVE to agree to what we sell or offer in order for it to be sent to you!!!!!!!!!!!!

inside info, ..Agressive sales folks and why they PUSH so hard...

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 23, 2004

Yep. It's true. They will fire sales people if you're not aggressive enough. The folks you call when you respond to the ad for Procylon are reading scripts, both when they answer the phone and when you don't buy. The company is VERY serious about following the script and you will be FIRED if you change ANYTHING.

The reason for this, is those scripts are tailored, honed, and then refined to get you to BUY NOW. And if you don't, they will call you back to get another shot. That's why they get your address and number UP FRONT. There is a whole department and separate crew of sales reps that do NOTHING but call people who refused to buy during the 1st call. They call you and offer the product for less money. It's still cheaper to just buy from herb stores or catalogs like Vitamin World.

There are sales people (a small number) who make 30-40 dollars an hour working at Visiontel RIGHT NOW!!! The fact is, Visiontel makes huge money on these products by selling them for 2 to 5 times (sometimes more) the price you pay in herb stores or on line. With that markup, they can afford to pay all kinds of sales people. By the way, they pay minimum wage ($5.15/hr) plus commission, so you can see the sales person's motivation (they make no money unless they sell). They advertise the job as 25/hr and up, and they will tell you some folks make 40/hr. And these people want sales reps who do NOT rock the boat. You'd think that it would be so hard to get people to work for minimum wage, that they would hold on DEARLY to anyone who made it through training!! BUT...they fire you for the least little thing. I was fired (primarily) for showing a manager this website.

I was fired by Visiontel for showing them this web site

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 11, 2004

I was fired by Visiontel for showing them this web site. Truth hurts, I guess. Sorry, guys.

I showed the night manager (a one armed man) this web site one evening (this was a second job for me, and I worked nights). When I returned to work the next time, I was terminated for saying the company was scamming people. I never said they were a scam, I just wanted fellow sales people to know what was out there so they would be prepared. It's a shame, really. I was doing very well for a new guy, or so I was told by managers who listened to me on the phone.

As to the question of: Is this a scam? I never received any products, even though we were promised free samples in training, but the primary ingredients in Procylon (a male enhancement product) are similar to tried and true Asian herbs such as Gensing.

The people at Visiontel were all really nice, and a 30 day money back option exists. The Ladies I heard answering THOSE calls were the best sales people in the company. That doesn't make them scam artists, just aggressive at making money.

A final note: You can buy most or all of their products for substantially less money at health food stores or vitamin catalogs, and the like, with a 30 day return as well. Ebay has most of their types of products for even LESS, but return policies are less generous.

Disgruntled Employee? Obviously!!

AUTHOR: Lela - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 31, 2003

Hollis is clearly a disgruntled employee, not to mention ILLITERATE!! I haven't purchased the product, but I did research the ingrediants. I know for a fact the ingrediants DO enhance your mood along with physical benefits. I personally feel the product is overpriced but it does have potential to work effectively. Out of curiosity, I called the customer service number Hollis provided. I got through to a service rep in less than 45 seconds. Hmmmm... Interesting.
