VistaPrint runs a scam where after completion of an online order (over certain amounts) they 'offer' you a coupon of, for example, 5 to 10 dollars since you are a 'valued customer.' Clicking on the coupon links gives you the value into your account PLUS unwittingly enrolls you into a 3rd-Party billing scam which, unbenownst to you, bills you $12.95/month for 'free offers' sent to your eMail box. Read as SPAM. That's $12.05/month for the right to send SPAM to your eMail box from an unknown company.

FIRST DETECTION

I had a recurring charge on my bank statement of $12.95/month which I knew was legit. It was only when I was 'double billed,' did I begin to investigate. The offending biller changed their 'billing ref. name' every month in order to avoid detection. Were it not for my legit recurring charge, I wouldn't have found this scam.

CONTACTING MY BANK

I contacted my bank who gave me every reference name this company used. Further research turned-up a phone number to Canada.

DISCOVERY OF CANADIAN COMPANY

I contacted this Canadian company which only revealed to me the depth of the scam. This Canadian company had numerous scams running and only after I had the rep. read-off the 'free programs' they offered did I find a name which gave me a clue - VistaPrint.

The rep. even told me HOW I was scammed. "You must've clicked on a link giving us authorization to bill you."

CONTACTING VISTAPRINT

Contacting VistaPrint is useless. They say they have nothing to do with 3rd Party offers. After weeks of calling, a rep. actually gave me a phone number which reached the SAME Canadian company, thereby confirming my connection with the scam that VistaPrint was running.

Since the Canadian company AND VistaPrint would not refund my money, about 100 dollars in losses, I asked for the offers to be re-sent to my eMail box since I supposedly purchased them. The Canadian company responded, 'those offers were already over' yet, I replied, "No problem. I need them as references," to which the rep. promptly hung-up.

FOLLOW-UP

VistaPrint would not produce the online form which I supposedly filled-out (comprehensively) authorising these charges, wouldn't provide any financial relief or credits to my account and hung-up on me when I asked for a supervisor.

By the way, VistaPrint's phone lines go to Jaimaica.

The 3rd Party Canadian company would not provide the offers (again), no refund AND wouldn't even give me a mailing address or company name.

I 'bought' them. Why can't I have them? I immediately cancelled an order with VistaPrint which I had placed during this research journey and eventually closed that bank account.

I am EXTREMELY careful with online purchases and have never been taken on anything - save for VistaPrint.

I wonder how many people got scammed besides me?Good luck RipOffReport! Scammed by: http://www.VistaPrint.com
