My mother first contacted Visual Solutions after seeing a local advert in the Rochdale Express. Her TV has been off since Wednesday 14th November 2012 AM. As her daughter, I tried several times to tune in her TV, but the constant response was "no carrier found" by the Freeview Box. I bought another Freeview Box, but there was still no digital output. I advised my mother not to contact anyone, as it was obviously a communal problem, but she does worry.

Thursday AM 15 November 2012, my mother phoned Visual Solutions on 800 195 1128 who visited her property. They clearly state on their advert, 'no call out charges. All word guaranteed.' Why then did an electrician come, not explain that he was carrying out 'diagnostics' and then charge her a fee of 30.00, without leaving a receipt. If the job is going to cost money, then it would be expected that an electrician or any other tradesman would explain that it will cost money.

I spoke to a nasty, dominant figure over the phone who was clearly not in the mood to admit his fault.

He knew from the outset that it had to be a communal area. I spoke to him on the phone and he confirmed that he would not have touched the communal arial anyhow, so he was obviously a scam artist who took advantage of my mother. I would recommend anyone not to phone Visual Solutions or Digital-Installs, as they did not explain that my mother would have to pay a fee, and Visual Solutions states on its advert 'all work guaranteed' my mother's arial is still not providing a digital output. He took advantage of my mother, so don't let this happen to you.

Digital Installations, Littleborough

AUTHOR: Shawn callaghan - ()

POSTED: Friday, March 22, 2013

This article has been brought to my attention, and just to show how crazy this woman is just call around to her house number 6 Hope Court, Hope Street, Rochdale OL12 0NX. It wasn't Visual Solutions who called to that property, it was my company( Digital Installations, Littleborough ). I got a call from a lady asking me to call around to her property due to her aerial not working, i did as asked and on getting there, entered the property and carried out work as instructed, inside there was 2 aerial sockets and 2 freeview boxes and cables everywhere, i questioned the customer as what problems she had experienced etc, all the usual things and then spent the next 30 minutes checking signals, removing face plates, looking for cables faults only after then did i ask where was the aerial situated? The customer took me around to the other side of the building and showed me a communal aerial. I asked her if that was the aerial she was using or if she had her own, she didn't know so i asked her to knock on some of the other houses to ask if they was having similar problems?
After 20 minutes the customer returned after speaking to the care taker and informed me that it was a fault with communal aerial and as it was still under warranty, the installation company had been informed and it was booked in for repair.
Now, as the customer had called me out and i had spent an hour on site, checking the system and waiting around, the customer was informed there would be 30.00 charge for works carried out, which she paid. Then 2 days later i got a call, supposedly from the customers daughter asking why i had charged her mum even though the fault hadn't been rectified? I tried to explain that i have costs for going to peoples property and spending time on site and have to recoup that cost from the customer ( i might add that the 30.00 charge only covers the cost of the business, no profit was made ). Then the lady started shouting saying it says in my advert that there isn't a callout charge, (this is where it gets good). I asked her to read out my advert and it wasn't even my advert or the phone number she just rang!!!! ( the advert was read out from the Rochdale express, dated July 2011, the paper was discontinued January 2012, the job was November 2012) i tried to explain this to her but NO SHE DIDN'T WANT TO LISTEN! So i tried to explain that the cost wasn't even a call out charge (it is classed as a diagnostic charge, we have to do this to stop dodgy customers from calling us out for "FREE" diagnostic calls and is standard practice in the trade). Anyway i know Visual Solutions, which is how i know about this problem and i was asked to set the record straight.
Apparently these reports cant be removed, even in cases like this they are wrong without paying $2000. So to thank the brain dead customer for not checking her facts before writing this please send ALL correspondence  to Number 6 Hope Court, Hope Street, Rochdale OL12 0NX. And hold on to your hats!!!!
P.S the "daughter" was never on site, at any point, and also admits that her mother made the call asking for an engineer to call to the property! So why people think that any company would come out do a full check on the system, over a 60 minute period free of charge???
I think that says it all.
Also if the daughter knew it was a communal fault why did she buy another freeview box? why did she try several times to tune in the TV? why didn't she inform her mother it was a communal fault?
It is just the age old case of the tramps of this world wanting everything for nothing!

6 Hope Court, Hope Street, Rochdale OL12 0NX.

Traders remember that address, stay clear!! or maybe not as the daughter will probably blame some one else?

How Dare You Visual Solutions

AUTHOR: Out4justice - (United Kingdom)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 20, 2012

I obviously touched a nerve with this company. Yes, Visual Solutions did visit my mother's property, and they did charge her for a job that was not explained to her. Again, I would avoid using this company. The consumer complaint was not written by me, but by the company involved, as it is blatantly obvious from the grammatical errors. Do not put words in my mouth. You know you are wrong because you sought to find this report. I told you I would be reporting it. I have also reported it to BBC's watchdog. Nobody takes the mickey out of my mother, especially in her fragile state.

Mistaken Identity

AUTHOR: Greater Manchester - (United Kingdom)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 20, 2012

Hi I am the author of the above report and i have made a terrible mistake, the company named above is not the company which attended my mothers property on the 18th November, my mother is mentally ill and got confused.
I have tried to get the report removed from the website but this is not possible, i would like to take this opportunity to apologise to all concerned and hope this will set the record straight.
The named company does not and never has employed or used electricians, as stated i got the details out of the Rochdale express which i now realise as been discontinued and stopped going to press approx 7 months ago.
So please anyone reading this, disregard everything in this report as it is not true and represents my experience dealing with a completely different company.
I would like to thank the company owner for agreeing not to continue taking legal action against me or my mother for damages.
