January of 2015 I saw a brief commercial on television (tv) that offered two weight loss products free (Vitamax and New Age Cleanse).

Only shipping and handling was required, and this amount was less than $12 for both.

The tv ad did not communicate any restrictions, nor terms and conditions relevant to this amazing "free trial".

The commercial strongly implies...it's a really great deal with no strings attached.

I ordered the products online via the Vitamax website after seeing the commercial.

Although each item shipped seperate, and arrived at my home, neither included a packing slip or invoice.

The above misstep seemed somewhat troubling, suspicious and very odd for a business, but I let it go. Why should I care? I  received what I ordered.

Feburuary 6, I was shocked to learn that two exhorbitant unauthorized charges in the amount of approximately $89 and $86 was withdrawn from my bank account - by Vitamax!

That same day, I contacted Vitamax to demand full credit to my bank account for the  unauthorized transactions.

The customer service rep I spoke to (Brandon) said, "You should have gone to the Website to read the terms and conditions. When you received your products the terms and conditions are on the packing slip and invoice. You should have read them. You were charged the $89 and $86 because you failed to cancel your free trial. Every free trial I have ever ordered with any company always includes additional future charges if you don't cancel. I will cancel your order now."

I told Brandon; I saw the commercial on tv and not the website, the commercial did not communicate terms and conditions, nor cancelation instructions relevant to the so called free trial, I only went to the website to purchase the products, and when I received both items as seperate shipments, neither came with a packing slip and invoice. I told him that the commercial was misleading and to return the unauthorized funds to my bank account.

He said, "The only thing I can do for you is to issue a 20 percent credit." However, since I held my position, he offered a 40 percent credit, and then his final offer was 50 percent.

I told him, "Okay, I'll take the 50 percent credit, and tomorrow I will contact my bank to file a legal affidavit to dispute the other 50 percent."

Brandon said, "If you are going to file a dispute with your bank, then I am not going to issue the 50 percent credit."

After speaking with Brandon I made a second call to Vitamax. A different customer rep answered the phone.

His name was Brian and he, like Brandon lacked diplomacy, empathy and good customer service skills.

I told him I perceived the company business practices as unethical and fraudelent and I requested to speak to a manager or supervisor.

Brian said, " There is nothing fraudenlent and a manager is not available right now."

I said, "When will a manager be available?"

He said, "I'm reading the notes in our system and it says you refused the 50 percent credit so there's no need for you to even talk to a manager, and there's no need for you to continue to reiterate."

I assume that Brandon and Brian are getting paid $75 an hour to be nasty loyal pitbulls for a shyster company that practices questionable and unethical business practices.

Or perhaps both Brandon and Brian are Androids, and for this reason, they are not capable of empathy or doing the right thing.

Warning to all: Buyers Beware, it's only, and all about the money regarding this business
