 Vitell Communications LLC is a National Contractor for Cable Company who I do not wish to add there name. My complaint has nothing to do with Our local Cable company who contracts the work too Vitell who then provides the contractors with the work. This company works out of Baltimore City. The whole project is over seen by a very racist man name Thomas Scovins.

 This company is the worst of them all. When I was hired on. I was told I would be paid a hourly rate of minium wage and  a  piece rate for all completed jobs. Well this is not true. They make you clock in and out each day. When ever you get your paystubs your hourly rate is different every week and the hours are never correct. So they basically make it look like your being paid hourly on paper to avoid overtime lawsuits. The only thing you are paid for is the work you complete. When I recieved my first pay check they had deducted health insurance beneifits from my check. Well I never signed up and wasnt even eligible for another 90 days. I spoke with them several times to get my money back . Thomas Scovins is the Big Cheese in charge. He is very ignorant and would threaten my job when I started to question my pay checks. He would tell me that Im lucky to even have a job and that he knows the laws and can deduct what ever he wanted .I was a w2 employee. So I thought w2 employees couldn't be back charged for damage claims. They kept emailing me for weeks telling me there deducting almost 500 out of my checks for a damage claim. Ofcourse me being me I questioned them about it and was asking them why they don't put down on my paystub that they deducted money from my check and why wont they give me a list of all the jobs I was paid for. So that way Ill know for sure if I wasn't paid for a job I completed. They kept blowing me off to the point I just gave up asking. It wasn't long after Thomas Scovins then started a rumor about me. Which he humiliated me very bad. He had told all the supervisor that I took a crap on the bathroom floor and rubbed it on the walls. He tried to say they had me on camera. Which is not true, I would never do such a thing. I demanded too see this so called video they had. Which they did not have because I didn't do it.  I really do belive Thomas is very racist. He runs every caucasion techs out of there . He treats you like crap , verbally abuses you and makes you feel like a piece of sh** just to so you will quit.If anyone does an investigation on every caucasion tech that has ever worked under Thomas Scovins. I guarentee they would all say the same stuff Im writing now. This guy is just straight evil. He would harrass me every day . Scream at me very loudly in front of the techs and supervisors. He would even sabatage my routes and equipment. I found it to be strange that every single one of my boxes and modems were all bad. What are the chances of that ?  Every day I would drive 40 mins to get too work. a few days a week they wouldn't even route me , so I would just have to turn around go home. I explained to them I can't afford to keep driving too work and not be giving any work. He would do it on purpose and said that I would lose my job if I didn't not show up. It wasn't long after I started there that I was approached by one of the Dispatchers who said to me . Do You like your first weeks pay check , nothing but triple plays all day everyday. I said hell yeah keep feeding me the work. He then said in order for me to keep making that kind of money that I needed to start tipping the dispatchers and the lady who does the routing every morning. I told him no Im not tipping anyone .My first week there I made 1600 in one week. I never hit them numbers again. You will see a huge pay cut on each pay stub. Anyway after I told him no, Everytime I would call in to the dispatch to add the equipment to there account and too have them send a signal to the boxes. They would not answer my calls. They would pick the phone up and just hang up and would verbally abuse me on the phone. They would lie and say the sent signals to my boxes but they didn't. I would sit at the customers house for long periods of times just waiting on them to send a signal to my box. I made several complaints too Thomas Scovins and my team supervisor Phillip Tapper. I still have all the text messages of me doing so. It was getting so bad that I would have too leave the customers houses with out the boxes even working. I was honest with them and told them up front . Theres nothing I can do for you . Im sorry but the dispatchers keep hanging up on me and playing games on the phone. This company would also route me in the worst parts of West Baltimore City. It got to the point where they wouldnt give me enough work . I would sit on the side of the road for 3 or 4 hours waiting on my pm job too get home. They would do this on purpose . Ive even had a police officer tell me . Man your boss doesn't like you. I said whys that ? He said you shouldn't be routed by your self in this area. Its not safe. I would call and complain and I could hear them laughing in the background and trying to cover the phone up so I didnt hear them. They would even call me and tell me they had add ons and I would drive how ever many miles the jobs were and the job has already been completed by another tech or the customer would say they had cancled there appointment. So It got to the point that I wouldnt take a add on unless I spoke with the customer before I even attempted to drive to there house. So then they would make up a fake address and when I would call them before I drove there . It would be one of the dispatchers using there cell phone acting like the customer . Of course when I get too the customers house and knock on the door. They would say they never had an appointment. There is also alot of drug use in this company and the supervisors know about it. A few of the supervisor smell like pot. Most of the techs smoke pot in the company vehicles and they smell so bad when they come into work in the morining or at the end of the day to turn in there equipment. Thomas Scovins know about the drug use with the techs. He would walk by them in the morning and say sir you stink go clean your self up and use some visine. I guarentee that if The local cable company went in and performed there own drug test . They would be shocked when they got the results. That kind of stuff is just not right. You cant have techs installing cable and climbing telephone poles high on Pot.

 I tried so hard to overlook all the abuse cause I really needed the money, and sadly Vitell is the only contractor in my area. I even sat down with Thomas Scovins and Phillip Tapper . I tried to reason with them both many times and explain to them how I was being treated by the Dispatchers and them as well.
