*Consumer Comment: What does your original, expired contract, have to say about cancellation?
I had entered into contract with Apex Home Security, Vivint to over Apex and my contract. My original contract expired. Vivint now says I owe 42 more months I have been communicating with their legal counsel through BBB Utah. I filed complaint with BBB and have been willing to compromise made and offer to Vivint but I am getting the run around. BBB wants to see if they can Arbitrate. I feel this would be a bias action as BBB is supported by businesses. I feel Vivint to be acting in Deceptive Trade Practice, Bad Faith ETC. ET

If you know to go to BBB and arbitration.Does that mean you consulted an attorney already.Because if you read your contract and your gut tells you it feels you are right .Why are you not defending your rights through an attorney. It presents as wasted effort and banging your head against the wall. And you are still not doing what is smart.???

It's VERY unusual to extend a contract for an additional 42 months unless you moved and they re-installed everything.
My contract states that if not cancelled in a timely manner, it will automatically renew year to year after the original term.
You DID read your "original, expired contract"....right?
