Vons is the only grocery store left in my area that will deliver anymore and I was feeling lazy, tired and drained after a long trip to Angeles City, Philippines so I thought that I would give this service a try.

I placed my order online for several groceries. There were boxes to check for NO SUBSTITUTIONS, so I checked all of them because I only want the specific products that I am ordering. I noticed that the prices are astronomical compared to my usual place of shopping, Albertson's. I ordered anyways thinking that I will just go ahead and pay the premium for the convenience of ordering online even though the website already charges $14.95 for the delivery. I paid with my credit card online and the delivery was scheduled for between 7:00pm and 8:00pm.

The delivery driver showed up at almost 8:30pm. One half hour late. Ok, not too big of a deal. He placed my groceries that were in bags, on the floor. Then he give me my receipt and asked me to sign his copy. Everything seemed about right so I signed it without actually checking anything. Then he left.

I was putting the groceries away and I saw a small jug of Tropicana orange juice. I didn't order a small jug of Tropicana orange juice. Who in their right mind would drink Tropicana orange juice? I ordered a 1 Gallon jug of Minute Maid orange juice. and it was nowhere to be found. So I looked at my receipt and saw that I was charged $6.59 for the Minute Maid orange juice that I ordered. (It's only $6.29 at Albertson's) When I looked up the price of the Tropicana orange juice that I did receive, it was $4.99. So basically even if I liked the Tropicana orange juice, I still got ripped off for $1.60.

I called customer service and told them this story and they gave me a complete refund, making the Tropicana orange juice free.

Why am I still complaining? Because they shouldn't have done this in the first place! And how many people don't catch this or other things they do?

When ordering from these people, ALWAYS check your order and your receipts!
